Everybody's Got a Past
In the mid-90s, you were on top of your game. You got recognition for your achievements and many of you improved your job or got a better job. Around 1997, travel and education got a lovely boost; in fact, in 1998 your reputation was stellar! However, even though you were riding high, your life began to change. For most of you, this meant starting to give up places, people, relationships and possessions, which you did until around 2001-02, when you ended up in a completely new sandbox. Maybe so new, you changed your daily wardrobe!
Your home and family scene improved in 2004 - 05; however, around 2006-08, you played musical chairs with changing jobs and residences. By 2007, partnerships looked good! Following that, your reputation was solid by 2009-10. The year 2013 was a nice boost because lucky Jupiter brought you good fortune, even though you still had to work hard. Money, Job, Status
This is the best year in over a decade to get a better job or improve your current job. This wonderful blessing will not return again until 2030. So yes, this is a rare opportunity! Appreciate that you have this chance this year and that this will not so easily manifest later. Strike while the iron is hot!
This means you can get a promotion where you work now. Negotiate for what you want. Find a job description that suits you better or demand better working conditions. Or you can leave - after, of course, you find that "better job" that is waiting for you. Don't let this opportunity pass you by!
Something else that might be a job-related is the fact that you will travel more in 2018. You will explore avenues in publishing, the media, medicine, the law and anything to do with higher education or technical schools.
In the next two years, you will rely more on yourself and less on others for financial support. Certain things that were there for you in the past will be diminished - help with the rent, a scholarship, the use of something that someone else owns. Your partner might earn less. This does not mean you will earn less. It simply means you have to rely more on yourself.
This also means that the support from financial institutions will be tougher to get. Plus you will have to learn how to live with the values of others even if they don't agree with your values. It's tough love but you will emerge from this experience stronger and more prepared to meet your time of harvest in 2023 with grit and confidence. All Your Relationships
Relationships have been challenging in the last two years. To put it mildley and I did. And possibly, for people born after June 15, these challenges will continue for this year. Because of these challenges, many of you left a committed relationship and are now on your own. Others are mending and reworking a partnership to make it enduring and rewarding.
There are two things that can promote positive relationships this year. The first is that your health will improve. You will feel more energetic, more vibrant, more dynamic, which in turn gives you a more positive outlook on life. Obviously, this makes you more attractive to others and more energetic when it comes to responding to someone coming into your life. This sounds subtle - but it isn't. Think of what the reverse is like. When you are tired, grumpy and lacklustre - you're no fun!
The second thing that can promote a positive, healthy relationship is the fact that you will have greater job success this year. And let's face it - success is sexy! Not only will you be more appealing to others because you are happier in your work, but you personally will be more upbeat and enthusiastic about life in general.

Home and Family

Furthermore, it symbolizes that the spotlight flatters you, which means people admire you! (Even if you don't do anything special.) Therefore expect to be consulted for advice. Expect promotions or praise. In fact, this month, a crush on a boss or a romance with a VIP might begin. Nevertheless, be patient with close friends and partners.
April
This is a popular month for you! You want to schmooze with others, especially younger people. Secret love affairs might take place for some; in part, because your sex drive is heightened! Mercury Retrograde in 2018
Mercury retrograde occurs three times a year. This is when Mercury appears to go backwards in relation to planet Earth. (In reality Mercury always moves forward.) During these so-called retrograde times, the areas that Mercury has domain over inexplicably suffer from errors and delays. The errors are small but frustrating!
Mercury has domain over everything that moves forward:
- all forms of ground transportation, (cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, buses, taxis, trains)
- the mail, parcels, packages (Post Office plus Courier and Delivery Services)
- communications - email, social media, phone calls, conversations
- it also includes daily living (the people we encounter, the items we deal with, the transactions we make and how we relate to others.)
During Mercury retrograde, all the areas under the domain of Mercury tend to go "backwards." They certainly have trouble going forwards. We can expect transportation delays, missed buses and car breakdowns. Mail will be late or lost, daily items that we handle like keys and papers will be misplaced; and communications with others will be confused and misunderstood. Plus people from our past will pop up into our lives. ("Boris?" "Natasha!")
However, we can make good use of Mercury retrograde times to finish things, study the past, do research and reflect. But do not open a business or begin new projects. Mercury retrograde is also a bad time to buy cars, trucks, bikes, computers, printers and phones.
The dates below are the actual retrograde dates plus the buffer times. This is because Mercury starts to slow down before it goes retrograde. Then afterwards, it needs more time to catch up to where it was at when it first went retrograde.
The craziness (delays and errors) is most pronounced during the actual retrograde time. However, if you are buying a big ticket item like a car or a computer, I recommend that you play it safe and avoid these purchases during the buffer times as well. You'll be glad you did.
