Hey you!
You are so on your game, we can take you anywhere. You're well mannered, aware, punctual and you floss. Admittedly, you're a sucker for labels because you like the fanfare prestige can bring. But who doesn't? You don't expect things to be handed to you. You work hard for what you want because you know - no pain, no gain. The funny thing is that despite your conventional demeanour and desire for respect, at times, you do the most bizarre things!
Everybody's Got a Past
You are a long lived sign, so let us cast a glance back 28 years ago to 1990. Partnerships were supportive then, which was a welcome thing because you were heading in a new direction. By 1993, your reputation looked stellar! However, between 1993 1996, life was a roller coaster with changing jobs and residences. Fortunately, your earnings picked up around 1997, which helped you to solidify your home base, which was something you wanted to do. In fact by 1999, many of you moved to bigger digs or improved your home through renovations or purchases.
At the turn of the century you took a well-deserved vacation and by 2004, you received acknowledgement for your hard work. Unfortunately, this coincided with a time when partnerships were challenging and many of you left a partnership between 2004-2006. By 2008, lucky Jupiter was in your sign restoring your confidence and bringing you good fortune. This led to another wonderful boost to your reputation 2011, when you looked "mahvelous" to everyone. You were proud of your achievements then. This was also a time when many of you improved your home or expanded your family through birth, adoption, or marriage.
Hopefully you took a well-deserved vacation around 2012 (give or take a year) followed by wonderful opportunities to improve your job around 2013. In 2014 you were ambitious. You were going for the gold! Travel plans in 2016 were enriching and nicely offset the fact that you had started to downsize and let go of much of what you had attained or created since around 2003.
Ever since then, regardless of what has been happening in your life, you have continued to let go of what is no longer relevant in your life. This has included saying goodbye to friends, relationships, places, and possessions.
Last year, your reputation was stellar. People admired you and you gained prestige. Success is so sexy!

Money, Job, Status
This is an important year because your ruler Saturn is now in your sign for the first time in 30 years! The last time this occurred was from Feb. 1988 to Feb. 1991. (And before that 1959-1961) These are significant dates because they mark the turning of events when you left a lot behind you in order to move forward to something new. And this is what is happening once again.
Ever since 2015, you have been downsizing and letting go of physical possessions, relationships, friendships, jobs and residences. Despite what you may think, this was not just loss. You have been simplifying your life so that you could be in a position to begin what you will begin this year.
Saturn always examines and tests. It wants a solid dependable structure. It represents the way you construct your life at a fundamental level. It also represents what you want in life and how you will get it.
You have completed what might be called the dark night of the soul. That is over. Now you are on a new path of growth - a path where you will reinvent yourself in the next seven years. This will involve restructuring. Do not be in a hurry. Your responsibilities will continue to be strong and your accomplishments will be great.
Your life will flow more easily this year and with surprisingly little effort. (Thank gawd!) Relations with bosses and VIPs and anyone who can help you will be successful and beneficial. This is a good year to advance your position. But do so slowly and carefully. You will find it easy to "think big" and you might even earn unexpected income because it will be a favourable year for you financially.
Many will admire you this year; and in particular, clubs, groups and organizations will turn to you for leadership and advice. You will have lots of energy to work to earn money this year. In part, because you will choose to spend a lot of money in 2018! Ka-ching! About time, eh wot?
All Your Relationships
All your relationships will improve this year because in fact, you will be enjoying one of the most popular year as you have had in over a decade. Oh yes. Everyone wants to be on your team and sit at your table. New friendships will be made; and you will join new clubs and organizations. You thrive well in clubs and organizations because you like to use your desire to socialize in a civic way, which means you are having fun and you get results for socializing!
One thing that is important for you to understand this year is that your increased popularity will of course be pleasant, even ego gratifying. (It's always reassuring to be popular.) However, it's important to know that all your interactions with others will actually benefit you this year. They might benefit you financially, physically, psychologically or emotionally - but they will benefit you. And you will benefit others! It's a two-way street.
So do not be casual about your interactions. And do not hold back because you will only be shortchanging yourself. This is not a year to go it alone. Enjoy the company of others.
You will also be more idealistic, especially about wanting to improve the world around you. Since this is the case, seek out and find like-minded people so that you can enjoy working for broad social reform in your community or your country.

Home and Family
By all means, stock the fridge because you will be entertaining more this year! Your home will be a place where clubs and organizations will gather. In addition, you will also work hard to repair or improve your home so that you can solidify or secure it for the future. This is important to you.
Keep in mind that this is going to be a popular year, which means you will attract people to your home. You will be strong in your role in the family - stronger than usual, probably a bit bossy. And you will also be directing the efforts of others this year, perhaps because of renovations or modifications to where you live. But also because you will be entertaining and there will be more people coming and going - and you will direct these efforts as well!
Because you will spend money more freely than usual this year, you will buy special things for your home, especially unusual items related to technology and modernizing your home. You might also buy modern art or something unusual or avant-garde.
Saturn can encourage stress on your skeleton and your joints, so consider taking supplements that help this. Add items to your wardrobe that make you feel comfortable in your popular position entertaining at home and dealing with groups. The expression "clothes makes the man" goes back to the Greeks. (Isn't it sad when you have fashion sense but no money to prove it?)

Your health and your job have your attention this month. You might need to rest a bit because you have been putting out a lot of energy for the last few months with Mars in your sign. This is the one month of the year when the Sun is at the top of your chart symbolically shining a spotlight on you. And this light is flattering! This is why bosses, parents and VIPs are impressed with you even if you don't do anything special. Obviously you need to use this to your credit because this is a once-a-year advantage. Talk to people in power and ask for what you want. You will also enjoy schmoozing with friends and groups, particularly artistic, creative people. It looks like you're spending a lot of money this month as well.

You have been popular all year but this month you are even more popular! (Gasp.) Everyone wants to see your face. Relations with bosses and parents are smooth. People will seek out your creative advice about how to make something look more attractive. Meanwhile you might do some private behind the scenes research on something - perhaps about a secret? Fiery Mars encourages you to work hard to earn your money, even though you are spending it! This is not like you to spend money at this rate, is it? Enjoy the good life!

Finally, you will give yourself a bit of a breather this month - but very little. Venus still encourages schmoozing with bosses and authority figures along with romance. And Mercury and Jupiter still want you to talk to everyone and be involved in groups and clubs. Therefore, grab every chance for some solitude because you need it. A Sneak Peek Beyond
In December 2019, lucky Jupiter will enter your sign for the first time since 2008. This is most fortunate for you! Jupiter will stay there for a year bringing you ease, comfort, contentment and good fortune. Do make the best use of this advantage because it will not occur again until 2032.
By 2020, Saturn leaves your sign, which gives you a lightning affect. You will feel more youthful. And the promise of earning more money in 2020-21 gives you a lighter step as well!
During 2023-2025, a residential move or job change might occur. However, do note that in this same window of time, you can benefit through real estate negotiations or you can move to a bigger and better home or improve your existing home. Mercury Retrograde in 2018
Mercury retrograde occurs three times a year. This is when Mercury appears to go backwards in relation to planet Earth. (In reality Mercury always moves forward.) During these so-called retrograde times, the areas that Mercury has domain over inexplicably suffer from errors and delays. The errors are small but frustrating!
Mercury has domain over everything that moves forward:
- all forms of ground transportation, (cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, buses, taxis, trains)
- the mail, parcels, packages (Post Office plus Courier and Delivery Services)
- communications - email, social media, phone calls, conversations
- it also includes daily living (the people we encounter, the items we deal with, the transactions we make and how we relate to others.)
During Mercury retrograde, all the areas under the domain of Mercury tend to go "backwards." They certainly have trouble going forwards. We can expect transportation delays, missed buses and car breakdowns. Mail will be late or lost, daily items that we handle like keys and papers will be misplaced; and communications with others will be confused and misunderstood. Plus people from our past will pop up into our lives. ("Boris?" "Natasha!")
However, we can make good use of Mercury retrograde times to finish things, study the past, do research and reflect. But do not open a business or begin new projects. Mercury retrograde is also a bad time to buy cars, trucks, bikes, computers, printers and phones.
The dates below are the actual retrograde dates plus the buffer times. This is because Mercury starts to slow down before it goes retrograde. Then afterwards, it needs more time to catch up to where it was at when it first went retrograde.
The craziness (delays and errors) is most pronounced during the actual retrograde time. However, if you are buying a big ticket item like a car or a computer, I recommend that you play it safe and avoid these purchases during the buffer times as well. You'll be glad you did.
