Male or female - you're Mama Bear. You give great hugs and you're a nurturer. You cook, you garden, you care. You're tenacious. You love a bargain and you watch your pennies. You're definitely funny. This will actually be a powerful, meaningful year for you in terms of career and your reputation among your peers. This is because since you gave up so much at the beginning of the millennium, you embarked on the process of redefining who you were in the world from around 2003 to 2010. Since that time, you have solidified your home base and stretched yourself to find the kind of work you want to do. And since 2015, you have busted your buns to prove to the world what you could do.
This is significant because from 2001 until 2018 (this is a broad metaphor), you have been "under the table," getting rid of what you didn't need, trying to figure out who you were and then striving to show the world what you could do. Finally, in 2018, you suddenly jump on top of that table! This is a major shift!
This year, you're on top of the table, ready to tap dance and take a bow for all your past efforts! And because you are more "high viz." in the world, your efforts will be acknowledged! Many of you will get kudos or praise or a promotion because something will happen that empowers you.
Furthermore, 2018 is also a turning point where all your work on your "inner" world is finished, and now you turn your eyes more to your outer world so that you can focus on how you relate to taking power in your external world and gaining success. From here on, you will work for your career peak, which is about seven years from now.
This year is the turning point from focusing on your inner world and development to your outer world and your achievements! Areas related to real-estate speculation, the entertainment world, show business and the hospitality industry are excellent areas to explore for you this year. Unfortunately, for most of this year, disputes about shared property, inheritances, insurance issues as well as shared responsibilities might arise. But things will turn out your favour because lucky Jupiter is in Scorpio now - your fellow Water. (Naturally, you are a Water Sign too. This is a good year for financial speculation.
All Your Relationships
Ooo la la! Grab your phone because 2018 is one of the best years for your sign for romance and love affairs! You might encounter love at first sight. (Eyes across the crowded room and all that.) You might meet someone through work, travel, friends or your kids. Another strong possibility is you might meet someone while you're on vacation - (because you will definitely take a vacation this year). A major vacation is one of the major events that is featured for your sign in 2018! Ongoing, current relationships will be more playful and lighthearted. They too, will benefit from a fabulous vacation.
However, having said this, Mars is going to hover opposite your sign in March, April, May, and then again in August and September. This is always challenging for committed relationships and partnerships! Mars is feisty and aggressive; and every two years, when it is opposite your sign, you are easily annoyed with others. (Of course, they seem to be annoying!)
So it's a mixed bag. Romance is blessed. All relationships, including current, long-term partnerships will have lighthearted moments, especially on vacation. Nevertheless, you might be at loggerheads with someone in the late spring and summer because of Mars.

Mercury Retrograde in 2018
Mercury retrograde occurs three times a year. This is when Mercury appears to go backwards in relation to planet Earth. (In reality Mercury always moves forward.) During these so-called retrograde times, the areas that Mercury has domain over inexplicably suffer from errors and delays. The errors are small but frustrating!
Mercury has domain over everything that moves forward:
- all forms of ground transportation, (cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, buses, taxis, trains)
- the mail, parcels, packages (Post Office plus Courier and Delivery Services)
- communications - email, social media, phone calls, conversations
- it also includes daily living (the people we encounter, the items we deal with, the transactions we make and how we relate to others.)
During Mercury retrograde, all the areas under the domain of Mercury tend to go "backwards." They certainly have trouble going forwards. We can expect transportation delays, missed buses and car breakdowns. Mail will be late or lost, daily items that we handle like keys and papers will be misplaced; and communications with others will be confused and misunderstood. Plus people from our past will pop up into our lives. ("Boris?" "Natasha!")
However, we can make good use of Mercury retrograde times to finish things, study the past, do research and reflect. But do not open a business or begin new projects. Mercury retrograde is also a bad time to buy cars, trucks, bikes, computers, printers and phones.
The dates below are the actual retrograde dates plus the buffer times. This is because Mercury starts to slow down before it goes retrograde. Then afterwards, it needs more time to catch up to where it was at when it first went retrograde.
The craziness (delays and errors) is most pronounced during the actual retrograde time. However, if you are buying a big ticket item like a car or a computer, I recommend that you play it safe and avoid these purchases during the buffer times as well. You'll be glad you did.
