Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 4:15 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. EDT today. After that the Moon moves from Leo into Virgo.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Although this is the perfect time to kick up your heels and have fun, today, you might want to watch that you don't go overboard. Perhaps your anticipation of all the fun ahead of you (because it's there!) has you so pumped, your judgment is a bit off?
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Be careful you don't make promises to family members or people you live with that are hard to keep. It's important to honour your word, because you're an honourable person. Simple. Something rather excessive seems to be going on at home today. Be cool.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Don't promise the sky to anyone (which is something you're often tempted to do). You love to dazzle people with words and keep them in the palm of your hand. Conversely, others might make promises to you that they can't keep. Oops!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Be careful about financial deals and business matters today. And definitely be aware of the Moon Alert above. It's possible to negotiate favourable commercial transactions; but it's just as easy to overestimate something or think it's better than it really is. Sound familiar?
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You might feel more emotional about everything today because the Moon is in your sign and in addition to this; it's a bit at odds with fuzzy Neptune. (Jupiter is in the picture as well.) This can make wishful thinking seem to be a reality -- but is it, really? You might have Vaseline on your lens. Look again.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Don't be tempted to be a martyr about some situation today. It's one thing to be selfless, compassionate and giving; but it's another thing to give your valuable time to a hopeless situation. You might be duped today. Then again - maybe not. Keep your eyes open.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
You'll enjoy good times with friends today. In fact, all gatherings and meetings will tend to be optimistic even if there is no basis in reality for this. (And it's not even election time.) Enjoy good times with others; but keep your wits about you.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Be careful with promises you make to parents, bosses, teachers, VIPs and even the police. You might bite off more than you can chew! It's okay to have your head in the clouds as long as you can keep your feet on the ground. It's okay to be idealistic if you can be realistic as well.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Feelings of escapism might grab you today. You want to get away from all this! (That's okay because you really do need a change of scenery.) Nevertheless, don't take risks with publishing, the media, higher education, medicine and the law. Make sure you know what you're talking about.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
This is not an ideal day to make important decisions about inheritances, shared property, insurance matters, taxes and death. You might go overboard in either direction. Your judgment could be impaired by false optimism. Then again, you might be right! It's a tricky day.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
On the whole, relations with partners and close friends are pleasant today. People expect a lot from you and you're prepared to give it. But if you feel stretched by the demands of others, then pull back. It's important to remain on solid footing today.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
In discussions with coworkers, make sure you can deliver what you promise. People are inclined to say anything to please each other today. This doesn't necessarily mean it's not doable -- but it might mean that. You have to know the difference.
