Aries (March 21-April 19)

As you look at the year ahead, face the fact you're going to be working extremely hard. At times, you might even feel overwhelmed. "I can't do this anymore!" But you can. Hey -- Aries pioneers discovered most of this planet! Phfft!

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Many of you will be facing increased responsibilities with children this year. And many of you will also be asking yourself, what do I want to be when I grow up? You're trying to find a nice balance between freedom and play versus work, duty and obligations.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Now more than ever, you're determined to make a home for yourself. You want to settle down. You want to establish roots. You might have increased responsibilities with parents or family members. Many areas need to be repaired.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You're a nester. The thought of job changes and residential moves makes your teeth itch. Not only that, you have so much stuff to move! There's an old army saying: "three moves are worth a fire." Think of it as a chance to lighten up and declutter.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

You need to learn how to use your resources better. A good beginning is to reduce your debt this year. Eliminate it if possible. You need to be a lean and mean machine when it comes to your finances. Sure you'll earn money and sure you'll spend it. But don't be silly.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You're the only sign that's actually beginning a major, 30 year cycle at this stage in your life. It's so major, you'll literally reinvent yourself in the next 5-7 years. Don't spread yourself too thin. Finish what you begin. Plow a straight furrow.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

It's a double combo for you this year. You're going to declutter and beautify where you live. You're going to enhance and improve your family relationships. And at the same time, you're going let go of the things, people and places you no longer need. Yup.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Your balancing act this year is to figure out how to be a member of the tribe and at the same time, maintain your own personal integrity and independence. You can do this. You can be popular and yet not get swallowed up by the insanity. Can't you?

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You're really hitting your stride this year. You have finally arrived at a culminating point for whatever you're doing. You might be graduating, or getting a promotion. You certainly can see what is working and what is not. This is a powerful year for you -- make the most of it!

In this year ahead, you're going to get in touch with your independence. You're going to discover just how much you can do -- on your own. This will be an empowering realization, and an empowering experience. (Just how powerful you want to be?)

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Some partnerships are going to be challenging this year. In fact, those that have outlived their usefulness or relevance in your life will probably fall by the way side. ("Never darken my door again.") Others will undergo changes and adjustments so that they can endure.
