Moon Alert

Avoid shopping or making important decisions after 1 a.m. EST for the rest of the day. (Yikes!) The Moon is in Cancer.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You feel increasingly apprehensive about a friend or dealing with a group. The fact is that a lot of people are feeling apprehensive about a lot of things. (It's hard out there without your towel.) You're not alone. Think of what works in your relationships instead of what doesn't.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Rome wasn't built in a day; in fact, they're still working on it. You can't solve all your problems at once. The doubts you have about career or family will be resolved at some time in the future -- be sure of this. In the meantime, maintain a holding pattern.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Transportation delays, religious concerns, political and philosophical matters, plus stuff related to publishing and the media (and education) have you somewhat stymied or stalled in the water. This is just how it is right now. Relax.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You don't like it if you have concerns about financial matters. Something related to possessions, shared property, earnings or financial deals is giving you a lot of thought lately. Don't worry about this. Bosses, parents and VIPs are in your corner now.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Partnerships and close friendships are confusing or challenging for you at this time. Try to meet these challenges with the same grace, consideration and affection that you greeted the good times you previously had. It's the only way to handle this.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You like to work. And when you work, you like things to work out well. If they don't work out well, you wonder what's not working. You work hard to make things work well because when they work well your work goes easier. Isn't that so?

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Be patient working with children; and be equally patient with romantic partners, creative projects and social functions. Things don't always measure up to our expectations. That's just how life works. Everybody feels this now in different ways. No big deal.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Conflicts on the home front require more patience from you than usual. Anger serves no purpose except to make everyone miserable. Be realistic in your expectations from others. Are you part of the solution or part of the problem? (Do not forget that because you're so powerful, you can be intimidating to others.)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You're quite aggressive about pushing through your agenda now. But might does not make right. Tread carefully. Your eager enthusiasm for a project might make others pull back instead of jump onboard. Give everyone some thinking space.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Forget your money concerns for the moment. Instead, enjoy good times at home with family. Invite friends over. Entertain at home. Rearrange the furniture. Buy fresh flowers. Do something to feel more comfortable and cozy about where you live.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Do anything to get more physical exercise now. (Yes, that too.) Since you feel perplexed by partnerships and close relationships, you have a lot of energy building up within you. It needs to go somewhere! Give it an outlet through physical activity.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Because your ruler Neptune now opposes Saturn, many of you feel full of doubt and self-criticism. (I'm navel lint!) This is just a temporary illusion; but illusions can seem so real! You're the same terrific person you were several months ago. By next year, you'll be in the game and playing with style! Would I kid you?

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actress, fundraiser Elizabeth Taylor (1932) shares your birthday today. You're naturally sophisticated and worldly. People are attracted to your charm. These qualities give you great skills when dealing with others. You don't accept things at face value; you question whatever you encounter. In the year ahead, something you've been involved with for the last nine years could end to make room for something new to enter.
