Power outages, computer crashes and unpredictable events could strain your workload today. Of course, if you're desperate for a diversion, you just might like this. Parents have second thoughts about spending money related to children today. You want to put a lid on expenses.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Dealings with authority figures (bosses and parents) are a bit dicey today. You feel like you're sinking in sand with domestic matters. Perhaps you're trying to do too much right now? Just go slowly. Be patient and work with small details one at a time.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

This is a tricky day. You doubt yourself. Perhaps somebody says something that embodies your worst suspicions about yourself. (Don't you hate that?) Why are we so suspicious of praise and yet so quick to accept criticism? Go figure. (Send out for more dark chocolate.)

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Difficulties with friends or groups might anger you today. However, you can't really say anything. If you do, you'll appear petty or oversensitive. Therefore, you have to seethe in silence. (Actually, Cancers generally pout.) Try to do something else. Let this go for your own peace of mind

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is Bad Day at Black Rock when it comes to dealing with authority figures, bosses and parents. (Oh yeah.) Avoid conflicts. Don't even go there. It won't be a pretty picture. Perhaps the person you really have to confront is yourself? (What do you think, Sigmund?)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Your efforts to convince others to agree with your philosophies or beliefs might backfire today. Although you want to assert yourself about something, for some reason, you can't get fully behind what you say. An inner doubt makes you hesitant. Therefore, proceed slowly with caution.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Disputes about shared possessions or the joint responsibility for something are likely today. Perhaps you're not sure what's expected of you? Perhaps you're not realistic about what you expect of others? Perhaps you were switched with another baby at the hospital?

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You feel you have to hold back your true feelings today. You might be doing a slow burn about something. It's true that what you feel and what you should say out loud are two different things. Honesty is not always the best policy. Sometimes it's good to sugarcoat things. (Oh yeah.)

You're capable of hard work today. You're willing to slog through something step by step, detail by detail. Don't expect too much and just keep working. With this attitude, you'll actually get a lot done. Keep your head down and your powder dry. Walk like John Wayne.

You might be overwhelmed by imaginary fears today. For some reason, your efforts to assert yourself are blocked in some way. (Perhaps by your own self-doubt.) Everybody feels like this at one time or another. I feel it every day before noon, then again around 4 p.m. And sometimes just before bed.
