Moon Alert

We have the All Clear to shop or make important decisions today except between 8 a.m. and 9:32 a.m. EST.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Discussions with parents will be serious today. Ditto for all discussions with any authority figures. Furthermore, you might feel held back, criticized or judged in some way. Don't take this to heart. It's an Eyore kind of day. "My birthday? It will probably rain."

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

You might be making plans for travel related to work. This is also a good day to make plans about getting increased training that can promote your career. You're very aware of your duties and obligations today. (After you finish this, chop that wood and pile it neatly.)

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

You'll feel good about paying your bills today. You want to do the right thing. Any kind of waste will appall you. Your interest payments on your debt will make you pale. Fortunately, they'll make you pay as well. This is a sensible, thrifty day -- get with the program.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Today's Moon opposes your sign. Furthermore, the displacement of the Moon tends to encourage rampant pessimism. Therefore, don't be surprised if conversations take on a discouraging tone. It's a passing thing. In fact, it passes more quickly if you drink lots of water.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

You're in the mood to get something done today. You feel a bit underwhelmed by life. You're very aware of all your "shoulds". (You should do this, and you should do that.) And think of all things you should stop eating!

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You might have some increased responsibilities connected with children today. That's okay; you're up for the task. Whatever you do, you will do carefully with thoroughness and precision. Nothing sloppy today! (Well, maybe that squishy, peanut butter and jelly sandwich.)

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You might be concerned with your responsibilities connected with a parent or a family member. You're also trying to tidy up things at home, in order to prevent future waste or spoilage. You want to do the right thing. Furthermore, you want to be perceived by others as doing the right thing.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

It's a bit easy to fall into pessimistic thinking today. This is really not your style. You know that nothing succeeds like success. Therefore, focusing on a half empty glass instead of a half-full glass is not ideal. (Oh well, if the glass is half empty -- then it's half empty. Right?)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You feel rather penurious today. (Not your usual style at all!) You certainly don't want waste your money on anything. You want value for your hard earned loot. If you do shop today, you'll buy practical, long-lasting items. You feel conservative and thrifty financially speaking.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

The Moon is in your sign today. This makes you a bit more sensitive and reactionary to the comments of others. On the other hand, it also brings you good fortune, and makes you a little bit luckier than all the other eleven signs. Just sit back and relax and enjoy your good fortune.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You might feel vaguely uneasy today. It's as if other people's comments confirm the worst suspicions you have about yourself. Of course, this is not true. It's more of a feeling. What it is -- is doubt and uncertainty! Don't open the door to that duo.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

A serious discussion with a female friend is likely today. Your topics can range over a very wide area, but they will pertain to practical values and meaningful effort. You don't feel frivolous today. (But by Wednesday, you're on top of the world!)

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actress Barbara Hershey (1948) shares your birthday. People like your unique style. (You're memorable.)You're particularly fluent with language, and all forms of communication. Many of you lead secret lives that are private. You are opinionated, but intelligent. (Sometimes you're excitable.) This is a year of major change; perhaps as significant as in 1996. Be open to whatever unfolds.
