This is Bad Day at Black Rock when it comes to conversations with VIPs, bosses, parents and teachers. This is not the day to ask for favours. Quite the opposite. You feel thwarted or blocked by someone who has influence over you. This is always such a bummer.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Travel plans might be squelched today. In fact, everything to do with publishing, the media and dealing with foreign countries seems to fall flat. If you want something -- the answer is no. (And you asked nicely!) Some days are easy; some days are not. But it's not a total write-off.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

If there ever was a day when your cheque could bounce - it's today. All your expectations about finances, possessions and anything you share with anyone else could let you down. It's the kind of day where you wonder why there's always so much month left at the end of the money?

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Conversations with others do not flow easily today. They might start out that way in a bright, exciting way -- then they suddenly go south. In fact, you might suddenly feel cut off and lonely. (Waaa. Nobody loves me.) You want to be with others; yet you don't.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

You're singing the Song of the Volga Boatman today. "Pull once more my lads" and all that. Oy vay. Things at work are a bit of a grind. Limitations are imposed on you. You just have to cope. You even feel cut off from coworkers. It's definitely time to send out for dark chocolate.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Matters related to children feel like a burden today. Resist the impulse to be stern or critical. Remember Goethe's advice: "Criticism does much, but encouragement does more." Don't worry about romance (if suddenly, things look bleak between you and someone special.) This will pass.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You will have to use all your patience and diplomacy when dealing with real estate matters and family members today. (Especially parents and people in authority.) You feel blocked with whatever you want to do. Or someone could outright oppose you. Shelve your ideas until next week.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Your optimism might be flagging somewhat today. Don't worry about this. Relatives, neighbours and daily contacts seem to get in your way. There's nothing you can do about this except to accept it gracefully. Don't be worried about anything. Even if you feel lonely -- you are loved.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You hate feeling broke. And you hate it when others flush your wonderful moneymaking ideas down the toilet. Nevertheless, this could be the general tenor of your day today. Don't let it get you down. The negativity you encounter today doesn't have any staying power.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You might experience a misunderstanding with a partner or close friend today. (Ya think the slammed door was a hint?) Don't be discouraged if you feel cut off from others. This is just a temporary black cloud on your horizon. Today the Sun opposes your ruler Saturn. (Ouch.)

If you're expecting favours, permission or authorization from the government or any large institution, it's doubtful you'll get it today. Quite the opposite. This is the kind of day where doors are closed. Since you know this -- don't knock. Don't be discouraged by dweebs who have power.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

You might be disappointed in a friend, or possibly a group or an organization. Don't give this too much energy. This setback is temporary. Whoever opposes you now might act completely different next week. (Then again, they might not. Jerks seldom change.)
