Conversations with parents are heavy and serious today. Financial matters or issues related to the responsibilities for someone need to be dealt with. You can't easily get your way today. Don't even try. Just knuckle under and accept the limitations of the hand that is dealt to you. (Oops - Aces and eights. Tough.)

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Thoughts of doom and gloom linger somewhere in the dark recesses of your mind. You're worried about something. And it's sort of a fear-based worry. You're afraid you won't be able to do something that you need to do. Fear not -- it's always darkest before it gets pitch black.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

You feel the old squeeze play at work today or maybe you feel it smack dab in your pocketbook. (It's a shame that money is so handy when you want to buy things.) You have to allocate your resources in a practical, down-to-earth way. No-frills today. Restrict your spending to absolute necessities.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You might feel low energy today. If so, just concentrate whatever energy you do have on the obvious tasks at hand. Just do the minimum, and don't forget to floss. You don't feel particularly kootchy-coo talking to others either. That's OK. Hide behind this paper and do the crossword.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Without question, this day is best spent working alone as much as possible. You will be far more productive that way. To begin with, you feel a bit isolated today anyway. Don't dwell on feeling lonely. Just try to do some work, and then enjoy your solitude with a good book. Or the boob tube.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Someone older might give you advice today. This person might also rain on your parade. Don't let others discourage you; although this is hard to avoid because today a lot of people are discouraging. And if they're not discouraging, then they're discouraged. (And that's discouraging.) Oy vay.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Whatever you accomplish today will give you lasting satisfaction. You'll get a strong sense of reward from your efforts. You have a lot responsibilities right now, and you're trying to do things right. Good. That's all anybody can do. Give it your best shot then go for coffee.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

This is a good day to do some serious planning about anything that you want to organize or get better organized. You see what needs to be done and you're completely unflappable about it. You're realistic and practical. You're particularly concerned with form, order and structure.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

This is definitely a 'red tape details' day. Roll up your sleeves and dig in. Tackle matters related to insurance, shared possessions, wills, inheritances, debt, credit and taxes. You also feel the heavy weight of responsibility for someone or something. Good luck. Live long and prosper!
