Moon Alert

Avoid shopping or making important decisions today from 3 a.m. until 8 a.m. EDT.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Although this week starts off with some confusion, things improve as the week goes by. Today however, any kind of negotiation or business dealing (especially with friends and groups) is subject to doubt and misunderstandings. Just play it cool.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This is definitely not the day to talk to the head honcho. It's confusing enough talk to a parent! For starters, you are probably expecting too much from someone. You also might idealize others or forget that they put their pants on one leg at a time, too.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Avoid political, religious and philosophical arguments today. It's important to stay in touch with the real world and not delude yourself with thoughts about how things should be rather then how things actually are. (Yes, it's hard out there without your towel.)

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

This is a poor day to divide assets, money and possessions with somebody else. You don't have all the facts, and someone might not be on the level. This is the kind of day where you can kid yourself, or somebody else can. (It's hard to say which is worse.)

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

You should be aware that communications are hopelessly misunderstood today. This can happen for a number of reasons -- or simply "pie in the sky" thinking. Maybe somebody is just asleep at the switch. Either way -- don't act today. Double-check what everybody says.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

It's easy to get caught up in some pretty wild ideas today. For one thing, your idealism is aroused; and it's hard for you to stay in control of your fantasies. Because of this you might try to win an argument that is based on faulty reasoning. (Guess who's faulty reasoning?) Yup.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

The Moon is in your sign today, dear Libra. This doesn't mean that you are any less confused than everybody else today, but you will probably get away with it. Don't blow too much money on entertainment, fun things and children. This goes double for lovers. Watch your cash.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

This is a poor day for serious discussions about domestic matters with partners. Either you or somebody else wants too much. You might not have the full picture either. If you're getting your information secondhand (or worse) hold your judgment today. Too much static in the air.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

A lot of confusion and misunderstanding at work creates extra work for you today. You might have to pick up the slack for somebody else. Sob stories, weak excuses and confused communications might definitely challenge you. Remember: Data is an Android: you're a human.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Although a lot of fuzzy thinking is going on today, it's a great day for creative efforts. Your ability to fantasize, visualize and imagine things is fabulous. However, avoid gambling or taking a chance with money. And don't spend too much on entertaining frills and socializing.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

There's a good chance a family member will not get your drift today. This doesn't mean you're lying, and it doesn't mean the other person is stupid. It just means that communications -- especially about domestic matters -- lack clarity and logic. Take things with a grain of salt.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

You might feel you have to keep a secret or hold back some information today. One of the reasons for this might be that you want to avoid a confrontation with someone. Just to strive to keep all your communications as clear as possible. Fuzzy thinking is rampant.

If Your Birthday Is Today

Skateboarder Tony Hawk (b. 1968) shares your birthday. You have a bright, clever mind. Because you grasp things quickly, you have to foster patience for others who are not so quick. Although you can be talkative, you guard your privacy. This year you have an opportunity to build and construct things that will bring about a change in 2004.
