Virgo Forecast for 2015

The Year 2015

Since 2012, difficult planetary aspects between Pluto and Uranus have created unpredictable, catastrophic events affecting countries, weather systems, aviation, accidents and political protests. There are seven times during the interval from 2012 until March 2015 that these occur. But after March, these untoward events will subside. Of course, life will always have unpredictable events and tragedy; but there will be a noticeable lessening of these threats.

Furthermore, once Jupiter enters Virgo in August, the economy and general well-being of both Canada and the United States will improve. Specifically, legislation regarding health-related issues as well as the environment will be encouraging.

Meanwhile, this year, the planet Saturn will be in Sagittarius and remain there for the next two years. The last time Saturn was in Sagittarius was from 1986-1988, and before that in 1927-1929. Saturn rules the law courts and the legal infrastructure of society; and Sagittarius is concerned with the laws that govern higher education, publishing, the media, medicine and how we deal with foreign countries.

This planetary combination will result in legislation about education, immigration, the media (including the Internet), medicine and law enforcement. Sagittarius aspires to ideals in truth, freedom, open-mindedness, spirituality and education, which means a new kind of idealism will permeate legal decisions.

Meanwhile, the three Mercury retrogrades that occur this year will all take place in Air signs, and Air signs are intellectual. This is a further indication of innovative breakthroughs and inventions, particularly in electronics, computers and the high-tech industry.

Ultimately, there will be more stable economic growth especially after August for both Canada and the United States.

I don't believe in a Pollyanna way that we are always progressing to bigger and better things. But this year will see a lessening of difficult situations and a strong encouragement and progress in laws that better society.

Jupiter in Virgo will help to restore Canada's reputation, which has suffered globally in terms of freedom of expression and our overall "nice guy" image. I think we will once again regain much of the respect we have lost not only in the eyes of other countries, but in the individual self-respect of Canadians.

Although the beginning of this year will be tumultuous, and things will, yet again, be stalled in the water from June to September; after that, there will be welcome improvements that will affect millions of people. This year hope is justified!

We All Have a Past

Your 2015 annual forecast begins with a nod to the past to demonstrate how accurate or not it is. If what I say about your past resonates with you, then you can trust what I say about your future.

In the mid-90s, close partnerships and relationships were a struggle. However, in 1995, you had a great chance to improve your real-estate situation, or just improve your home scene in general. Whatever happened, your relationship with family members was enriched. You either moved to bigger digs, or bought something, or received gifts that made you enjoy your home more. In 1996, vacations and holidays beckoned. Some of you expanded your family through marriage, birth or adoption at this time as well. Support from others around 1999 was sweet. Some of you might have benefited indirectly through a partner or an inheritance. (Where there's a will, there's a way.)

After the turn of the millennium until 2001, you were looking good! Many of you achieved your dreams then. You certainly were proud of your accomplishments, and whatever you did brought you fame or a lustrous boost to your reputation. By 2004, lucky Jupiter was in your sign heralding the beginning of a 12-year cycle of growth, which is culminating this year. Something happened that year that increased your confidence and poise.

Around 2006-07, you gave up people, places and possessions so that you could sail off in a new direction around 2008. This was an exciting change! And it was dramatic. In fact, for some, it was so different you even changed your daily wardrobe. But there is no question that in the following seven years you reinvented yourself. Several of these cycles are being completed this year. You can test this for yourself. Think back to what your life was like in 2006, and compare who you are now, how you live and how you look in 2015 to how things were back in 2006. Quite a contrast!

Goodies, gifts and favours from others blessed you in 2011, and in the following year, wonderful travel opportunities or chances to explore higher education, publishing, the media, medicine and the law fell into your lap. By 2013, once again, your name was up in lights, and you enjoyed increased respect and admiration from others. This was also a time when kudos, promotions and awards came to you.

Nevertheless, the last two years have been a time of flux for you. Many of you changed jobs, had residential moves, or both. So in one way, it's been a good ride, but most recently, life has been unsettling. This is why what you most desire in the immediate future is an opportunity to solidify your home base. You want security, stability and a safe refuge. But you don't want to do anything rash, because you agree with Virgo Warren Buffett, "It takes 20 years to build a reputation, and five minutes to ruin it." That's why you're going to plan things carefully so you can count on something with some degree of certainty.

Money and Career

Many of you might feel indecisive about your job and career at this moment. There are three reasons for this. The first is that since 2007 until this very year, you have been reinventing yourself. This means that right now you are on the brink of deciding what to do with the rest of your life now that you are the "new you!" This leaves many possibilities open to you. The second reason is that for the last two years, your life has been a bit of a roller-coaster. You have left jobs, changed residences, or both. In other words, it has been a time of extreme flux and change. This also adds to the feeling of being perplexed about your professional future. The third reason is a 30-year cycle, which began in 2007, places you at a point now where your primary aim is actually not on your job and professional life. Instead, your primary goal in life is to solidify your home base. This is a major distraction. No matter how much you want to think of new jobs and your career potential, your thoughts and efforts will keep coming back to your personal and domestic life. What this really means is that your primary objective at this time is to create a solid foundation for yourself. For most people, this is all about where they live, and also their relationships with family members. It's your private world.

When you are building a house, you first build the foundation. You are in a similar position at this stage in your life. Naturally, you need an income to pay the rent or mortgage and keep food on the table, but the astrological charts for all Virgos have a strong emphasis right now on establishing a firm base. Once this base is established, it will become the springboard for you to go forth, slay dragons and seek your dreams.

For the first time in your life, Neptune is opposing your sign, as it has been since 2011. This influence will last until 2025. This can create a definite confusion with respect to professional partnerships in business, whether you are self-employed or just working "in partnership" with someone in a job. It tends to do two things: on one hand, it can make you idealize someone to the point where you no longer see them realistically. Perhaps you don't see their faults, or perhaps you exaggerate their positive attributes. On the other hand, it can simply confuse you about someone you are working with. You might feel distrustful, out of touch, or hesitant about how to relate to this person.

This time you are completing the reinvention of yourself, as it were, and are getting ready to move forward. (Once you have established your home base.)

And it definitely brings you a year of fortune, good luck, favourable conditions, auspicious opportunities, and that magical ability to attract important people and excellent situations to you. This means that despite your focus on your home life, and despite some confusion you might feel with business partners, by August this year, many favourable opportunities will begin to come your way, and they will continue to do so in 2016. You have to believe in your own good future - a new, improved, drip-dry, wrinkle-free, breakfast of champions that keeps going and going and going!

Let's look at things on a monthly basis for the coming year. January is a playful month. It's the perfect time for a vacation, and also an excellent time to enjoy sports and fun times with children. Nevertheless, Mars will guarantee that you will work hard as well, and will be busy delegating to others. February is definitely a hardworking month as well, where you are keen to get better organized. You will want to improve your health, your efficiency and productivity in every aspect of your life. In March, your ability to get a loan, raise funds, or receive benefits through others (including your partner) is excellent. In fact, your emphasis will be on partnerships and close friends to a great degree that month.

In April, you will want to tidy up loose ends with inheritances, taxes, debt, and anything to do with shared property or whatever you own jointly with others. Furthermore, dealings with foreign countries will go well, plus matters connected publishing and the media. In fact, in May, your focus on publishing, the media and legal matters will be strong, and others will see you in a favourable light. You will appear gracious and smooth-talking, which means you can take care of business.

June will be one of the strongest months of the year for you, because the Sun will be at the top of your chart then, acting like a spotlight on you. This light will be flattering! It means that others, especially people in authority, will admire you and offer you increased responsibilities. Mars will also be at the top of your chart arousing your ambition. Make note of this month if you want to impress others, make your pitch or go after something that is important to you. July is a popular time for you, and it will behoove you to join professional associations, clubs and organizations. However, you might find yourself in competition with someone - neck to neck.

In August, several things start to coalesce. We know this is the month that lucky, moneybags Jupiter enters your sign for the first time in 12 years. As if by magic (it's never magic!), you will get ready quietly. You will do things behind the scenes as you personally prepare for this powerful time to materialize. Four planets will be "hiding" in your chart, off in the wings, getting ready to appear in the autumn as you start to wield your newfound luck, good fortune and skill. Oh yes, Jupiter will make you performance-ready and confident!

By September, when your birthday arrives, you're laughing! This will be the beginning of a time of learning and gaining experience. Resources and people you never dreamed of will be available, and are suddenly drawn to you. Naturally, you can take constructive advantage of this situation. Your relationships with everyone will improve, and you will start to create a situation for yourself that is beneficial. Finally, you will get the sense you are on track and going somewhere. In October, earnings, possibly a new job, your cash flow and major purchases will be a strong focus. Mars will be in your sign that month, making you assertive and ready to fight for your rights.

November is a busy time of short trips, errands, talking to people, and increased reading and writing. It will be an excellent time for those of you in sales, marketing, teaching, acting and editing, as well as those who drive for a living. Note that November is an excellent time to enhance your wardrobe and shop for clothes that promote your success in the world. December is a time that naturally calls your attention back to home, family and real-estate matters. It's also a time when your cash flow increases, as well as your expenditures. December spending - ah yes, it was ever thus!

Relationships and Romance

When it comes to matters of the heart and your closest relationships, you can expect good things in 2015. One of the biggest reasons - and there are several - is that this year you finally complete the job you began around 2007, which was to redefine yourself. This is critical for a relationship. Think back to the person you were in 2005-06, and you will see that so much has changed! And specifically, so much has changed within yourself with regard to your values, your choices and your wants. Now you know who you are. (At least, you know who you are not.) You are on more solid footing when it comes to relating to someone. They will have a better idea of what to expect from you, and you will certainly have a better idea of what you want from others.

Another reason this year will be favourable, and to a major extent a turning point, is that lucky Jupiter will return to your sign for the first time in 12 years to stay for roughly a year. This will happen in August. As Jupiter travels through your sign, it will boost your confidence and poise, and make you much more appealing to others. When Jupiter is in your sign (and this happens only four or five times in your adult life) it makes you happier! Another name for Jupiter is Jove, from which the word "jovial" derives. Naturally, if you are in a happier frame of mind, you will attract people to you. People are attracted to happy, and avoid sad. This means your chances of meeting someone from August onward are excellent. If you are in an existing relationship, that relationship will likewise improve, because you are more positive, upbeat and pleasant. This is a fabulous stroke of good fortune for you, so do make the best of it. Not only does Jupiter make you happier, but Jupiter is a social sign. As such, it attracts people to you, and also encourages you to interact with groups and friends more than usual.

Taking a closer look at the year ahead on a month by month basis, we see that in January, you are ready for fun, romance and playful times. January is the perfect time to slip away for a romantic tryst, even if it is only a weekend at a B&B, a fast flight to Vegas, or a quick road trip. You want a change of scenery, and you want to have fun! Find someone to share a getaway moment with, preferably to sunny climes with turquoise waters, white sands and drinks with little pink parasols. A work-related romance could begin in January as well.

In February, Venus and Mars are opposite your sign, stirring up different influences with your partnerships. Mars will make you aggressive and, frankly, easily annoyed with others. You have to be patient. Fortunately, Venus will ameliorate this influence. In fact, for the entire year, this will be the best position for Venus with respect to love affairs and relationships with everyone. It will allow you to express your affection for others more easily. It will also promote a better understanding of the needs of others so that you know how to work harmoniously with them. It could even soften your relationship with your enemies.

This strong focus on partners and close relationships continues into March. However, now your sex drive is stronger. Your romantic life will be passionate and more aggressive. In April, romance with someone from a different background or another culture might begin for some of you. Travel for pleasure will also appeal and your sex drive will still be hot! In May, romance with a boss or someone older, richer or more worldly might take place. You have a strong urge now to "get away from all this," and many of you will travel. On the whole, discussions with authority figures will be sparkling and bright.

The month of June is the only month all year when the Sun sits at the top of your chart, shining like a spotlight on you. This light is flattering. It means you make a great impression on everyone, especially people in authority. Venus will deepen your friendships, and indeed, a friend could become a lover. In July, friendships assume a greater importance in your life. However, competition with someone could be edgy or challenging. However, it might also mean that you are attracted to a strong, competitive individual.

August, of course, is your magic month! For starters, it's the perfect time to buy wardrobe goodies, because Venus will be in your sign. This means you feel good about yourself. Home, Family and Real Estate

This is one of the most significant areas of your life in 2015, because now more than ever (and I'm referring to a 30-year cycle), you want to solidify your home base. You have been working for this for some time, certainly since 2006, and now you want to feel that you have a safe refuge - something you can count on. You need to establish this for yourself so that you can go forward and explore other areas. Many of you have moved recently in the last two years. If you feel dissatisfied with where you currently live in 2015, you will fix it up in a major way - repairing the roof, doing renovations, something like that. Other Virgos, if feeling dissatisfied, will move once again. If things feel relatively good for you, then you will do little things to make your home a welcoming place for you and those who live with or visit you. Please note that in a 30-year cycle, 2015 and 2016 are the most important years for you to establish a home base in a solid, reassuring way.

Family vacations are likely in January, because you definitely want to have fun. This is also a good time for financial speculation in real estate, as well as playful times with children. In February, you will work hard to feel organized at home. You particularly like to have a good storage system with closets, dressers, drawers and cupboards. Because, whether you actually achieve this or not, you always wish you could be organized to the point that everything has a home. If you're looking for something, you know exactly where it is. Partnerships and friendships shine in March, which means you will enjoy entertaining at home. Some kind of competition with others might take place then, or you might use this energy to be active in physical activities or gym classes. This is a time for you to take a breather and regroup before your birthday in September. Dates below are actual retrograde dates and buffer dates. Why? Mercury slows down before it goes retrograde and, likewise, it takes a while to catch up to the degree it was at when it first went retrograde. Use buffer times for big purchases like cars.
