Capricorn Forecast for 2015

The Year 2015

Since 2012, difficult planetary aspects between Pluto and Uranus have created unpredictable, catastrophic events affecting countries, weather systems, aviation, accidents and political protests. There are seven times during the interval from 2012 until March 2015 that these occur. But after March, these untoward events will subside. Of course, life will always have unpredictable events and tragedy; but there will be a noticeable lessening of these threats.

Furthermore, once Jupiter enters Virgo in August, the economy and general well-being of both Canada and the United States will improve. Specifically, legislation regarding health-related issues as well as the environment will be encouraging.

Meanwhile, this year, the planet Saturn will be in Sagittarius and remain there for the next two years. The last time Saturn was in Sagittarius was from 1986-1988, and before that in 1927-1929. Saturn rules the law courts and the legal infrastructure of society; and Sagittarius is concerned with the laws that govern higher education, publishing, the media, medicine and how we deal with foreign countries.

This planetary combination will result in legislation about education, immigration, the media (including the Internet), medicine and law enforcement. Sagittarius aspires to ideals in truth, freedom, open-mindedness, spirituality and education, which means a new kind of idealism will permeate legal decisions.

Meanwhile, the three Mercury retrogrades that occur this year will all take place in Air signs, and Air signs are intellectual. This is a further indication of innovative breakthroughs and inventions, particularly in electronics, computers and the high-tech industry.

Ultimately, there will be more stable economic growth especially after August for both Canada and the United States.

I don't believe in a Pollyanna way that we are always progressing to bigger and better things. But this year will see a lessening of difficult situations and a strong encouragement and progress in laws that better society.

Jupiter in Virgo will help to restore Canada's reputation, which has suffered globally in terms of freedom of expression and our overall "nice guy" image. I think we will once again regain much of the respect we have lost not only in the eyes of other countries, but in the individual self-respect of Canadians.

Although the beginning of this year will be tumultuous, and things will, yet again, be stalled in the water from June to September; after that, there will be welcome improvements that will affect millions of people. This year hope is justified!

We All Have a Past

Your 2015 annual forecast begins with a nod to the past to demonstrate how accurate or not it is. If what I say about your past resonates with you, then you can trust what I say about your future.

Let's harken back to 1989, because that is when you began the process of reinventing yourself. If you consider who you were and what your life was like in 1988, and then compare it to who you were and what you were doing in 1996, there's a big difference. Around 1996, your primary focus was to establish a firm base for yourself. Many of you made major repairs to where you lived, or you decided to move. Fortunately, in the same year, lucky Jupiter was in your sign bringing you good fortune and boosting your confidence. Nevertheless, around 1997-1998, some of you moved again. This is why 1999 was an excellent year for real estate, and a time when many of you expanded your family through marriage, birth or adoption. Whatever happened, somehow you felt you were living in bigger and better digs. By the turn of the millennium, romance flourished, and some of you had increased responsibilities with children. However, all of you began to wonder, "What do I really want to do with my life?"

Fortunately, excellent job opportunities came your way in 2001. This might have been what encouraged you to start to work really hard. By 2002, relationships were cozy and some of you married or made serious commitments. Ironically, just two years later, in 2004-2005, partnerships and friendships ended. You started to explore your external world, which in turn, might have shifted the power in your relationship. By 2005, your reputation looked great! Many of you got a promotion, a better job, or recognition for your efforts. You were popular in the year 2006, even though the financial, psychological or emotional support from others was taken away or diminished. ("What am I? Chopped liver?") This forced you to stand on your own two feet, which is something you do very well.

By 2008, you began to regroup. Your confidence returned, and good fortune favoured you, which is why many of you boosted your earnings by 2010-2011. This was your time of harvest in a 30-year cycle. Now you were stylin'! You were busy and popular, and you enjoyed a chance to explore real-estate opportunities or improve your home in some way. Even family relationships improved in a warm, loving fashion. By 2012, vacations brought a smile to your lips. (Even though you can tough things out more than most, you love luxurious, star treatment.) In 2013, job improvements, or a chance to get a better job, enhanced your happiness. Last year, warm relationships and friendships made you feel emotionally secure and happier.

Money and Career

The planet Pluto takes approximately 250 years to go through all 12 signs. Not everyone will have the experience of Pluto in their sign during their lifetime. You, however, are an exception, because Pluto entered your sign in 2009, where it will stay until the end of 2024. You have been experiencing a unique situation. For the next eight years, you will continue to grow and evolve under this influence. This journey of Pluto though your sign will subtly encourage you to reshape your image in the world, because you will have more conscious control and awareness over how you choose to project yourself to others. This will take place at every level. Not only will you reshape your personality, but you will also reshape your physical presence. For example, many of you will effortlessly lose weight because you don't "need" those extra pounds. (Pluto has a way of getting rid of what you no longer use or need.) The process of Pluto is subtle and slow, but it is also relentless and inevitable. As the years go by, you will notice that you have a strong urge for self-improvement in every aspect of your life. Not only will Pluto give you the energy, motivation and drive for self-improvement, it will make you want to control everything and everyone around you. It will also be harder for you to delegate to others, and you will be more inclined to feel you have to do everything yourself. (Not wise. Remember: The definition of management is getting things done through the efforts of others.) Furthermore, as you have higher standards for yourself, if you are in a supervisory or management position, you will likely be more judgmental of others. You expect more of them simply because you expect more from yourself.

Pluto will also make mysteries and the hidden aspects of life more alluring and appealing to you. ("Double, double, toil and trouble.") This will be helpful for those of you who do research or work in the sciences. Pluto has domain over all criminal detection agencies and police work, as well as medicine, so many of you will have a driving ambition to discover secrets and solutions in these fields. In addition, some of you will decide to take up the study of astrology, yoga or other esoteric disciplines to gain greater mastery over your health and your life in general.

Since 2010-2011, you have had an increased sense of pride in your work, your job and your reputation. (And by the way, no one values respect, status and an excellent reputation more than you. That's putting it mildly.) Whatever your achievements, you are proud. Now, on top of this, 2015 will benefit you through the wealth of partners and others. You might receive assistance or gifts from them, or be allowed the use of something that other people own. Either way, you will benefit in practical and financial terms. Some of you will benefit directly through inheritances, gifts of money, or perhaps an insurance payout or money from the government. The fact that this financial benefit is available to you is timely. In 2015, you will enter a three-year window where you will divest yourself of what is no longer relevant in your life. That's because you are going to start to dismantle much of what you have created since 2003. This means in the next few years, you will be giving up jobs, relationships, residences, possessions, and even certain values. This is due to the influence of two planets - Saturn and Pluto. Their combined influence will urge you to get rid of anything or anyone who is extraneous in your life. In other words, you no longer want to carry baggage that is not useful to you. Therefore, in terms of job and career, you have to keep these factors in mind.

The next few years will bring major changes for you in terms of where you live and where you work. Be aware of this possibility. In late 2015, job-related travel will increase. At that time, you might explore new opportunities in healing, medicine, the law or anything to do with higher education, travel and work with other countries. Opportunities for involvement with the media and publishing could also come to you in late 2015, and beyond. Nevertheless, the main thrust of your activities this year will be to get rid of what is no longer important and useful. In other words, it's time to streamline your life!

Relationships and Romance

As mentioned above, Pluto is now in your sign from 2009 until 2024 and this is not common. Many people never experience this in their lifetime, because Pluto takes 250 years to go through all 12 signs. In astrology, Pluto has domain over myriad things, among which is garbage. This includes "old garbage" like archaeology and anthropology. This means that Pluto will urge you to get rid of what is no longer relevant in your life! Therefore, if you are in a relationship that is unhappy or going nowhere, during the timeframe of 2009-2024, that relationship will end. Well yes, that's a pretty broad timeline! In all that time, Pluto will slowly work through 30?. This means that when Pluto gets within about 5? of your Sun sign, this influence begins to manifest. So some of you have already left partnerships, some of you are thinking of leaving partnerships, and for others, it is yet to come.

But here's an important distinction. Remember my dark reference to "garbage" above? You will not leave a relationship that you value. Pluto will not take away anything from you that you need. In fact, Pluto is always trying to bring a superior result to any situation that you are in. That is why it only removes whatever is dragging your down

Nevertheless, looking at Saturn as well, it is obvious that all Capricorns are entering a two to three-year window where they will let go of many things - jobs, places, possessions, residences, and yes, relationships. So this is something you have to be aware of. It is what it is.

I repeat, a healthy, happy relationship (and all healthy, happy relationships have their bummer times) does not have to end. But without question, Pluto will make you dictatorial and controlling. This is something you have to keep in mind so that you do not run roughshod over someone else. We all know that power corrupts, and absolute power is kinda neat.

By contrast, in the year 2015, your sexual energy will be abundant! This is also a great time to enter into a new relationship, whether it is a business or personal one. It's also a practical time to enter a relationship where you can pool resources with someone.

To quickly look at the highlights of the months ahead, we see that January is a strong time for you. The Sun, Mercury, Venus and of course, Pluto are all in your sign. You are out there flying your colours and attracting people to you. In February, a work-related romance could begin. This is also a time when short trips will appeal. You might also meet people through relatives or siblings, or an introduction through a neighbour. Short trips will be exciting in March as well, and you will entertain more at home. By April, your romantic urges are strong. Oh, yeah! In fact, both April and May are party months for Capricorns. New romance, dates, vacations and fun, social excursions are on the menu. You can count on this.

Although you're working hard in June, committed partnerships will flourish nicely at that time and again in July. In fact, passionate intimacy will be intense in July. (Serious diary fodder here!) A love relationship that begins this month will be unusually memorable, and will have a strong impact on your life. This person might be good for you or not so good for you, but they will be irresistible. (Aaagghh! Be still my beating heart.) Furthermore, this passionate intensity continues throughout the summer until November. (Oh my!) This means there is an overall influence throughout the whole year that boosts your sexual intensity and passion. (Think net stockings.) But specifically, from June to November, things are sizzling hot! By the end of the year, new relationships could begin with people from other countries and different cultures. Home, Family and Real Estate

One of the most significant influences that will impact your home and family life is the fact that you are now entering a two-year window where many of you will dismantle much of what you created since 2003. This means a lot of you will be contemplating a residential move. For many, it's time. It's just that simple. You are conservative and cautious, and certainly not reckless, except when silly whims sometimes grab you by the throat. So it's almost as if, at a subconscious level, you knew the time would be right this year or next.

Lucky moneybags Jupiter will be travelling through the part of your chart that rules the wealth and resources of others. This happens only once every 12 years. This means that Jupiter will help you to get a loan, mortgage or money from other sources. So for example, if you are contemplating a residential move, it will be easy to deal with the bank. You will probably get better terms and a better deal than you might have any other year. Furthermore, friends and relatives might help you move. People might let you use their property temporarily - that sort of thing. It will be easy to raise funds. You will also benefit indirectly through the increased wealth of your partner. People will even give you things or do favours for you. Therefore, if you fall into the category of someone who is contemplating downsizing and moving, you couldn't pick a better year to do so.

Naturally, not everyone will move. However, almost everyone will downsize their possessions in some way. You can expect to find yourself going through closets, attics, garages, lockers so that you can get rid of what you no longer need or use. Naturally, you will probably sell or recycle these things because you are a sign that hates waste.

Later in the year, from September onward, your opportunities to travel will be stronger than they have been in over a decade. ("I'm packing tropical!") In fact, this influence will continue into 2016 as well. So if it interests you, start to plan a major family vacation later in the year. Perfect! Go for it. You are right on target.

If we look at this year month by month, we see that January is a time when you might spend money on home and family, because you're certainly spending money on something. In February, relations with siblings and relatives will be both strengthened, and at the same time, challenging. Oops! This could be due to competition or jealousy. In March, you will enjoy redecorating at home. In fact, some of you will initiate major renovations, because life looks chaotic and busy at home at that time. This high-paced activity continues into April and May. However, by that time you will be enjoying good times with children and entertaining more.

Expect delays, lost items and confused communications! Best to finish things, not begin them. These are poor times to buy cars, trucks, bikes, computers, printers and phones.

Dates below are actual retrograde dates and buffer dates. Why? Mercury slows down before it goes retrograde and, likewise, it takes a while to catch up to the degree it was at when it first went retrograde. Use buffer times for big purchases like cars.
