To a Better Year Ahead!
Canada and the US will enjoy an improved financial climate this year as North America moves towards a more solid footing. Family life and especially the rights and care of children will also improve.
Last year Saturn entered Scorpio to stay until September 2015. This means Saturn is now being expressed in a Scorpio style - or to put it another way - the areas that are governed by Scorpio are the ones undergoing strong challenges.
The sign of Scorpio governs sex, secrets, espionage and spying, police detection and criminal activity as well as medicine, plumbing, manufacturing, nuclear fission, television, the military and everything related to death.
Meanwhile the planet Saturn governs all pyramid structures, especially rules and regulations and the government.
When Saturn was last in Scorpio in 1984-86, Indira Gandhi was assassinated, AIDS was discovered, Apple released the first MAC computer, Geraldine Ferraro was the first woman to run as a Vice President running mate, Nintendo was released, the Challenger exploded after take off, the Chernobyl disaster occurred and FOX network began. This same energy will pervade in 2014.
Small wonder we have press coverage about NSA spying on its own citizens as well as other countries, plus security leaks and whistle blowers like Edward Snowden. The year 2014 will continue to focus on crime, ruthless politics and overburdened medical systems, as well as exposing illegal surveillance of the public.
The real-estate market will continue to improve until summer, after which it might settle for awhile. From the summer of 2014 and beyond, we can expect improvements and more activity in the arts and the entertainment world. During this same time, there will be a wonderful boost to the hospitality industry, which is good news for restaurants, hotels, resorts and theme parks.
So it's a bad year for spies and a good year for stand-up comedy. Does this mean funny is out of the bag? No more hidden humour?
I agree with Margaret Mead who said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful citizens can change the world; indeed it's the only thing that ever has."
But I also agree with George Carlin who said: "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups."
Hello 2014!
In the past five years, changes have taken place at home and within your family. For some it was a change of residence or a renovation. Others experienced changes with parents or family members. The most disorienting aspect is that you might feel you have lost your roots. But actually, old patterns from the past are being dissolved so that you can rebuild new ones. Significant relationships ended around 2003-04, but by 2011-12, your confidence was strong again. This was also a time when you improved or expanded your home in a way that made you feel enriched. Now it is important to be aware of your image and the impression you create in the world. Whether it's a good thing or not, it's a fact that we are judged by our appearance. It's human nature. It's important to know that this year, it is within your power to change your appearance for the better. Mark Twain said, "Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society."
Mars Attacks!
Every two years, Mars visits each sign for six weeks. Now, however, Mars will be in one sign for eight months. Mars is energy and this long duration of fixated energy is difficult for some, but for Capricorns it can be useful. Mars will arouse your ambition like never before. You'll be PowerPoint on steroids! Basically, the energy of Mars is ego. It's aggressive, assertive and sexual. For this eight-month stretch, Mars will sit at the top of your chart urging you to work hard to accomplish something. Ideally, you must be your own boss. (You won't tolerate others bossing you.) You will be so motivated to achieve, the downside is you might alienate co-workers who are threatened by your ambitious attitude. Is it time for your Patton impersonation? "Lead me, follow me, or get the hell out of my way!"
Money - the Second Most Important Thing
Thomas Jefferson said, "I'm a great believer in luck, the harder I work the more I have of it." This is true. The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is extra effort. Because you will be so motivated to work hard to accomplish what you want, especially in your career and in promoting your good name, you're bound to be more successful this year. Connect the dots. Your motivation will move mountains. Then, late in the year, you will benefit from the wealth and resources of others. In the autumn and winter and into 2015, it will be easy to raise money or get a loan or a mortgage. From October onward is a good time to explore professional partnerships. Yes, your success is showing. Your challenge will be to balance your work for yourself with your work for others, especially in groups. You must have a balance that meets the needs of others but also respects your own wants and needs. Trust your impulses and intuition. Go after what you want. Be confident that late in the year and into next year, you have help from others as well. You'll be laughing all the way to the bank!
Love is Chemistry, Sex is Physics
Since you will be more ambitious this year than you have been forever, you are not going to hesitate about going after what you want! Ya think? Admittedly, your aroused ambition relates to career and the achievement of personal goals, but note the word aroused. (Exactly.) All parts of your chart are connected - just like the human body. (Oh my - first we have aroused and now we have the human body. Say no more.) This is also a successful time for you and success is very sexy. Plus, late in 2014, your sex drive will be magnified, continuing into 2015. So it's obvious that your prospects are promising and will depend on your own initiative and enthusiasm. Of course, money always helps. Since one of your challenges this year is learning to integrate your individual self with a group, and finding the right balance between serving the needs of the group and serving your own desires, it's obvious you will be very involved with others this year. The rest is up to you.
Home Suite Home
The success of your career and public reputation are assured. Even your sex life looks promising. But your home scene is unpredictable. From 2011 until 2018, all Capricorns will undergo sudden changes to their home environment. The nature of these upsets will be that you acquire a new sense of freedom. Or you will be released from responsibilities. Old ties with the past might be broken. The areas of dissatisfaction in your home and family are the very areas most likely to change. Of course, these are references to your external world. Your home life is your private and personal world as well. A Sneak Peek beyond 2014
By 2016 (possibly late 2015 for a few) you will have a year ahead full of travel opportunities. You will also have chances to go back to school or thrive in any school or university environment. Basically, you will see ways to expand your world, perhaps even moving to another country. In 2017, your reputation will shine, even though you might give up familiar things. Who knows, you might live in two worlds -- after all, clones are people, two.

Mercury Retrograde in 2014
Expect delays, lost items and confused communications! Best to finish things, not begin them. These are poor times to buy cars, trucks, bikes, computers, printers and phones.
Dates below are actual retrograde dates and buffer dates. Why? Mercury slows down before it goes retrograde and, likewise, it takes a while to catch up to the degree it was at when it first went retrograde. Use buffer times for big purchases like cars.
