Georgia Nicols' Pisces Forecast for 2009

Introduction to 2009 Annual Forecasts
"One ringy-dingy... two ringy-dingy...
Hello? 2009? Is this the party to whom I am speaking?"
It's been said the future is much like the present only longer. And some years (even decades) this is true. But eventually, a turning point occurs. Standards, people and events that were popular are suddenly passe. Winds of change bring new ideas, values and fashions.
This is what is happening now in 2009.
It's happening not just in North America but for the entire world. We see it in our back yards, newspapers and political climates.
Planetary changes are a harbinger of new landscapes. For example, Pluto rules nations -- the masses. And the sign Capricorn rules all pyramid structures, hence all governments. Pluto takes roughly 250 years to slowly move through all 12 signs. In November of 2008, Pluto moved into Capricorn for the first time in 230 years. Verrrrry interesting. Why?
The last time Pluto was in Capricorn was from 1762 to 1779. An interesting period in history. "Does this ring a bell, Pavlov?"
And what about 1776? "Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?"
Or the Battle of the Plains of Abraham? Overnight, Canada was forced to switch from Quiche Lorraine to Fish & Chips!
And a mere decade after Pluto left Capricorn, we had Bastille Day. "Liberty! Equality! Same sex marriage!"
I haven't researched the histories of other countries because newspapers don't pay. If this was an entry in the Encyclopedia Britannica complete with multimedia enhancements, I'm sure I could find similar shifts in power structures elsewhere in the world. (Actually, I doubt that encyclopedias pay either.) Television pays. And yet to watch TV you don't even have to know how to read!
Two things are now coming together. One is super-major, and that is the return of Pluto to Capricorn. Pluto is all about reform. I guarantee that reforms of all kinds will be in fashion for the next 15 years.
All governments will reform education, health care, road systems, political systems, water systems, banking systems, the media (especially television because Pluto rules television,) aviation, airports, radio, light bulbs and anything you can think of that could improve with reforms. (Which is practically everything.)
The influence that shapes this impulse of reformation arrives this year in the form of Jupiter in Aquarius. Aaahh! Aquarius always wants to make the world a better place. (Barack Obama is a Leo with Aquarius Rising.) Aquarius brings about change for the better by rousing the troops at a grass-roots level.
People of like minds will join forces knowing that in numbers they have power. Aquarius is the energy behind unions, Amnesty International, Green Peace and petitions to fight the good fight.
There will be a shift of power to a wider population base. Initially, this base will, of course, be the world of technology. Aquarius rules electricity and computers and high-tech gizmos. We'll be inundated with the laptop, Blackberry, iPhone, iPod, camcorder, cellphone, web page, internet, podcast, blog, twitter and the web.
But if we think this base is the world of the common people - ha! Think again. This world is elitist. Most people on planet Earth have never used a telephone. The majority are still the Great Unwired. Pluto will not ignore them. And Pluto intends to reform.
Third World societies will leapfrog past entire eras of technology because why not? Catch up! Catch up!
Collective action and group effort will bring about change for the better in the immediate future (but sometimes the rallying cry of reform can marginalize the rights of the individual).
Meanwhile, I'm going to exercise my right to get a sexy, shiny, dual-carb, self-cleaning, self-defrosting, drip-dry, power-top, voice-activated, blue-tooth, audio-video tricked-out smart phone. But am I smart enough to use it?
Where's my luck this year?
Your popularity this year is sweet! Everyone loves you. Group activities with friends, including interactions with clubs, groups and organizations, will be a boost to your soul. Share your heartfelt dreams for the future with others because you might be surprised how helpful someone's feedback is.
Many of you will explore your spiritual world. You'll develop a deeper appreciation of the importance of compassion because you see that we're all in this Big Soup together, and what is done to one is done to us all. Some of you will find a spiritual teacher or perhaps play this role for someone else.
You might embrace a church or a specific group; but more likely this inner search will be personal. You're very sensitive and psychic, and so you know how to go about this. For example, you would never moon a werewolf.
You're ready to explore metaphysics, astrology, the Tarot, the I Ching and other esoteric sources of knowledge, like the stats for the NHL.
The experiences you'll undergo this year are fundamental. 2009 is a Number 11 year. which is a power number and a spiritual number. You will change. (It won't affect your shoe size.)
This kind of major shift will make a difference to all the choices you make for the rest of your life.
Work: The curse of the drinking class
You were proud of your achievements in the mid-80s. But at the beginning of the '90s, you started to let go of people, places and possessions. It was time to move on.
Around 1994-95 was a turning point. You made such a big change even your daily wardrobe was different. You were in a new situation feeling your way as you went. Travel and educational opportunities were excellent then. Many of you enjoyed a career success at some level.
Between 1999-2002 mucho flux and change took place! (Job and residential moves.) However, (though perhaps unaware of it), you were putting the final touches on the New You, which was a process you began in 1994 and which was finished by 2002. ("Stick a fork in me Lord -- I'm done!") Just compare your world in 2002 with 1993. Quel difference!
Since 2005, you've busted your buns to prove what you could do. At times it was overwhelming, but you survived. Since 2007-08, you started to get recognition for all this hard work. People are noticing and acknowledging you. Great!
From here on, you'll slowly rise to your career peak around 2015. However, this year (2009) once again you'll be working hard. From October 2009 to the end of the summer 2010, you'll give it your all, and demand the credit for your accomplishments. This is because you identify strongly with what you're doing; and you won't share star billing! (In other words, you're not keen on being a team player.)
Something you started about 14 years ago is now clearly working (or not). In the last 14 years, you redefined yourself, established your values, figured out where to live and what you should do for a living. Not bad! From here on, you'll focus on getting recognition for what you do and on dealing with your external world -- your career, your profession and your public reputation.
Home suite home
Naturally many of you made a big change to your home base around 1994 because, prior to that, you gave up a lot and after that you entered a whole new sandbox.
Around 1999-2001, you were on the move again. But fortunately, Lady Luck smiled on your home scene in 2000-2001 enriching it in some way. (This was a good time for real estate.)
Shortly after (between 2001-04) you made repairs and renovations to where you lived. You wanted to establish a solid base you could count on. This year you're focused on settling old matters, especially related to shared property.
But the good news is that next year (2010) lucky, moneybags Jupiter will enter your sign for the first time in 13 years. Yes! This good fortune will definitely bless your home and family life.
You have the qualities of all the other signs combined, but what you have in abundance is gentleness and kindness. And you're compassionate because you can empathize with others. These qualities bless your family life because family is the closest thing to unconditional love that we have.
Spare change?
When it comes to money, you have a trusting attitude to the universe. You believe that things always work out and, because of this, they do! (Belief is powerful.)
Your earnings can certainly improve this year because you're going to be working so hard, especially at the end of the year. There's no doubt about this. But your earnings will take the biggest boost next year, when moneybags Jupiter enters your sign in January. Yeehaw! Baby needs a new pair of shoes!
Until then, be cautious in your disputes with partners and ex-partners about shared property, shared debt and anything you hold jointly with others. No doubt this weighs heavily on some of you right now. It might be to your advantage to postpone major financial decisions until next year when luck is with you in abundance.
Recognition for your work since 2007 will continue to favour you. But the support from others, especially partners, might be lean between 2010-1013. (Ah yes, the best labour-saving device is a rich partner.) "Will you run away to Cache Creek with me?"
Does anyone love me?
This is a difficult time for partnerships. Those that have outlived their usefulness are gone or getting dusty. Those that will endure have to undergo major readjustments. It's just the way things are.
The last few years have been unusually stressful for both business and intimate partnerships. However, this is also a time when many will enter into serious new commitments. In other words, everything to do with your partnerships is serious, legal, binding, and tied up with money and property. Yikes!
My sex life (fictitious or otherwise)
You like to play dress-up, especially with great shoes and fabulous boots. Sex can be a wonderful escape and who could possibly have more fantasies than you? You're a pleaser and a teaser
Serious partners can enter your life now. (Not one-night stands or serial monogamy.) However, next year in 2010, your star will shine! You'll attract all kinds of people to you. Try to be discriminating. You don't need to save anyone. Let someone adore you!
