Georgia Nicols' Cancer Forecast for 2009

Introduction to 2009 Annual Forecasts
"One ringy-dingy... two ringy-dingy...
Hello? 2009? Is this the party to whom I am speaking?"
It's been said the future is much like the present only longer. And some years (even decades) this is true. But eventually, a turning point occurs. Standards, people and events that were popular are suddenly passe. Winds of change bring new ideas, values and fashions.
This is what is happening now in 2009.
It's happening not just in North America but for the entire world. We see it in our back yards, newspapers and political climates.
Planetary changes are a harbinger of new landscapes. For example, Pluto rules nations -- the masses. And the sign Capricorn rules all pyramid structures, hence all governments. Pluto takes roughly 250 years to slowly move through all 12 signs. In November of 2008, Pluto moved into Capricorn for the first time in 230 years. Verrrrry interesting. Why?
The last time Pluto was in Capricorn was from 1762 to 1779. An interesting period in history. "Does this ring a bell, Pavlov?"
And what about 1776? "Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?"
Or the Battle of the Plains of Abraham? Overnight, Canada was forced to switch from Quiche Lorraine to Fish & Chips!
And a mere decade after Pluto left Capricorn, we had Bastille Day. "Liberty! Equality! Same sex marriage!"
I haven't researched the histories of other countries because newspapers don't pay. If this was an entry in the Encyclopedia Britannica complete with multimedia enhancements, I'm sure I could find similar shifts in power structures elsewhere in the world. (Actually, I doubt that encyclopedias pay either.) Television pays. And yet to watch TV you don't even have to know how to read!
Two things are now coming together. One is super-major, and that is the return of Pluto to Capricorn. Pluto is all about reform. I guarantee that reforms of all kinds will be in fashion for the next 15 years.
All governments will reform education, health care, road systems, political systems, water systems, banking systems, the media (especially television because Pluto rules television,) aviation, airports, radio, light bulbs and anything you can think of that could improve with reforms. (Which is practically everything.)
The influence that shapes this impulse of reformation arrives this year in the form of Jupiter in Aquarius. Aaahh! Aquarius always wants to make the world a better place. (Barack Obama is a Leo with Aquarius Rising.) Aquarius brings about change for the better by rousing the troops at a grass-roots level.
People of like minds will join forces knowing that in numbers they have power. Aquarius is the energy behind unions, Amnesty International, Green Peace and petitions to fight the good fight.
There will be a shift of power to a wider population base. Initially, this base will, of course, be the world of technology. Aquarius rules electricity and computers and high-tech gizmos. We'll be inundated with the laptop, Blackberry, iPhone, iPod, camcorder, cellphone, web page, internet, podcast, blog, twitter and the web.
But if we think this base is the world of the common people - ha! Think again. This world is elitist. Most people on planet Earth have never used a telephone. The majority are still the Great Unwired. Pluto will not ignore them. And Pluto intends to reform.
Third World societies will leapfrog past entire eras of technology because why not? Catch up! Catch up!
Collective action and group effort will bring about change for the better in the immediate future (but sometimes the rallying cry of reform can marginalize the rights of the individual).
Meanwhile, I'm going to exercise my right to get a sexy, shiny, dual-carb, self-cleaning, self-defrosting, drip-dry, power-top, voice-activated, blue-tooth, audio-video tricked-out smart phone. But am I smart enough to use it?
Where's my luck this year?
Some signs are more concerned with their security than others -- and you're one of them. You save for a rainy day when it's sunny. That's why you'll love your good luck this year because it's about money, assets and collecting gravy.
Every chart has two money Houses. The Second House is all about the money you personally earn; the Eighth House is about other people's money, shared possessions and shared situations like mortgages, debt and taxes. This latter area is where you receive abundance, good luck and good fortune in 2009. (And if you're a late Cancer, this good fortune stretches into 2010.)
Therefore, the next 18 months are definitely the time to go for a loan, a mortgage or ask for assistance of any kind. You'll receive gifts, inheritances and favours. Partners will get bonuses and goodies that benefit you indirectly. It will be easier for you to reduce your debt; and easier to accrue assets, especially by sharing them.
And people will let you use stuff! ("The key is under the mat. Just bring a bathing suit. Everything you need is there. Use the Porsche and help yourself to the wine because we've cellared far too much.")
Work: The curse of the drinking class
In the mid-90s, you were on top of your game. And by 1997, your confidence was strong because you had a clearer sense of direction and increasing success. You knew what was working and what wasn't.
The resources of others through inheritances or advantages with partners gave you a leg up on critical situations. By 1999, you earned other people's respect and many of you made a name for yourself then. (This was evident in your increasing popularity around the turn of the millennium.)
However, by 2001-03, things changed. It was difficult for many of you to give up places, possessions and even relationships because you had to begin a new life around 2003. Since then you've been redefining yourself to the point where recently, job changes or residential moves have kept you a bit off-balance.
Not to worry. About a year from now, you'll enter a period where you start to move steadily forward to increasing success. You've been taking care of basics and wisely so! Six years from now you'll be working hard, possibly in a field you cannot yet envision. Your payoff for this work will arrive in 2118. In the meantime, you're in a holding pattern. Sort of.
Keep your eye on a big career boost in terms of reputation, recognition and confirmation in 2011-12. That's just two years away. This window of two or three years is what you're waiting for! By then, you'll feel solid about where you're living; and you'll be well-positioned to take advantage of opportunities to make a name for yourself because those opportunities will be there. (Of course, success is relative. The more success -- the more relatives!)
Home suite home
You're a nester: Family is important. (You take pictures of everyone growing up to keep a record of the past.) Your domestic world is a major part of your life.
About three or four years ago, you expanded your family or enriched your home or increased real-estate assets. You made your home more comfortable and more beautiful. Family relations improved as well. Great.
Since 2007, many of you have moved or made changes at home. Next year in 2010, you'll continue to work hard to solidify your home base by doing something very basic like fixing the roof or the basement. Expect major renovations or repairs to where you live. That's because you're in a five-year window of solidifying your anchor in the world.
This is your main focus now and it will continue to be a primary focus for the next few years. Despite the career success that arrives around 2011, you'll be constantly focused on creating a solid home for yourself and your loved ones. Some people are casual about this kind of thing but you aren't. You know you can travel the world searching for something special only to return to find it at home.
Spare change?
You're never casual about money. Sex might be funny but money isn't. You know money is the energy that makes things happen. Plus you're a saver. In fact, you have trouble throwing anything out! Look at your cupboards, closets, basement or garage. I rest my hand bag.
This is an unusual year in terms of your earnings and here's why. Mars passes through your House of Earnings for about seven weeks every two years. When it does, you really put on steam to make money, spend money and lather up your cash flow. Factoid. This year Mars enters your House of Earnings in the autumn and stays there for seven months! Shee! You'll be running around with an outboard motor on your butt making money here, there and everywhere! Ka-ching!
This means both your astrological Money Houses are activated! Remember your luck this year through other people's money? This combo will definitely give you the means to fix up your home or travel. (Plus money always keeps the kids in touch.)
Does anyone love me?
Last year and well into this year, partnerships and committed relationships will enrich your life. Many of you are experiencing casual relationships heating up into something serious, while long-term partnerships are improving beautifully! ("Fred!" "Edna!")
Partly this is because you're bolder about going after what you want; and you're not afraid to indulge yourself either. You have the feeling it's finally your turn. And it is!
But something else is at play. You're starting to trust more. You're willing to take a chance even if it means risking getting hurt. You're admitting to yourself that you can't win if you don't buy a ticket.
My sex life (fictitious or otherwise)
I could have mentioned this in your good luck part (see above), but I saved the hot sex for last. But it really is a kind of good luck. This year and even into next year, your gonads are in overdrive. You're plain, old-fashioned, lusty!
No matter what your age, your interest in sex will increase. Better yet, you're going to have fun! When the interest is there, the action will follow. Oh, yeah.
Of course, you'll never get into bed with somebody who can't make you laugh. You have a great sense of humour and you know that sex is the most fun you can have with your eyes closed.
