Georgia Nicols' Cancer Forecast for 2008
What foods these morsels be!
Your Secret Past
After busting your buns in the late 80s, you finally got some recognition for your efforts around 1989-90. (And about time!) However, the sweetest of all sounds may be praise, but it doesn't pay the rent. Nevertheless, this was when you began to take your future more seriously. (You started to take your powah!)
Naturally, as you began to focus more on your external success, this was bound to create an imbalance somewhere, and sure enough - many partnerships became unhinged. Some of them bit the dust. And the ones that endured had to undergo major adjustments. (They're now a size 16.)
Because lucky Jupiter slipped into your sign in August of 1989, where it stayed for a year (Glory Hallelujah!) you handled this well. Soon you were making more money despite the fact that the support from others diminished. By 1996-97, things were looking good. Partnerships were reassuring then as well.
Shortly after the millennium, much of what you worked for and established since 1989 started to slip away either by choice or necessity. You let go of people, places, and possessions - and lemme tell ya, you don't like to let go of anything! (Hello? Whose closets and cupboards are jammed full?) "I might use that one day."
A whole new scene opened up with new opportunities around 2003. What you might not be aware of is that's when you started to redefine who you were in immediate world. Some of you even changed your daily wardrobe. (I should hope so.)
Last year and this year, are times when many things will be uncertain because of possible residential moves and job changes. These are not things you consider lightly. You don't flit around like Geminis or take off like a bolt out of the blue like Sagittarius. You're comfortable with the familiar. You're wary about change. You suspect good news is life's way of keeping you off balance.
Attack from Mars!
Mars rules war and aggression. It also rules our muscles, and how we assert ourselves in all our relationships. Mars takes about two years to orbit the planet so it stays in each sign for about seven weeks. But lo! Due to a celestial dustup, Mars entered Cancer on Sept 28th, 2007 and doesn't move on to Leo until May 9th, 2008. That's over six months! (During that time it actually slips back into Gemini for a little while.) The last time this happened was 1975-76.
Well, is this going to affect you or what? Ha! It's going to be good. Mostly. But nothing is entirely good. (Dessert has calories.) The upside of this long duration of Mars in your sign is that you'll feel tremendous vigour and energy. You'll defend yourself or anyone else for that matter in a heartbeat. Your confidence will increase, and you won't let anyone take advantage of you. You'll have tons of physical energy which means you can work hard for long hours. You'll definitely accomplish more than usual. ("I'm eatin' raw liver and razor blades for breakfast!")
The downside is you might be too much for everyone else around you. (Ya think?) Bosses, supervisors and parents might find you to be a bit too lippy and too big for your britches. They feel threatened! Furthermore, you have a strong desire now to win. Perhaps they feel defeated? (You get the picture.) Be nice to the little people. 'Cause after you finish eatin' raw liver and razor blades for breakfast, you still have to deal with everyone.
Introduuuucing - 2008!!
The New Year Begins
This year begins with a strong focus on partnerships and close friendships. There could be a lot happening now especially for early Cancers who are born in June. In fact, because Pluto is approaching an opposition to your sign for the first time in your life (Pluto hasn't been in this position since Thomas Jefferson was 21 years old) some of you will undergo radical changes in your closest partnerships and friendships. There's just no getting around this.
Relationships that have outlived their usefulness will go. All Cancers will begin to feel this pressure in the next few years. Even if you're not feeling this kind of pressure, your focus is definitely on other people right now. You have a chance to learn a lot about your style of relating. Learn as much you can because this year relationships are going to become enormously important and enormously beneficial to you.
February is quite intense. It can be sexually intense; or you might be intensely focused on matters related to inheritances, wills, shared property and the like. By March, you need to blow this pop stand. Enough intensity! Travel somewhere if you can. You're hungry to learn something new. You're keen on adventure. Fortunately, gifts and goodies from others will give you the means or wealth so that perhaps you can take a cruise? A cruise would be nice. You like the water; and you love your food. And you'll never have to do any of the cooking or the dishes.
Spring is Sprung
People notice you this month because the Sun is at high noon in your chart acting like a spotlight on you. And because they notice you, they'll ask you to accept increased responsibilities or do special jobs. The secret is this: you don't have to do anything special to impress them! So say yes. They'll be thrilled with your efforts. Get others to help you. Never forget that this is the year where you benefit from partners and close friends. You'll be laughing all the way to the bank.
In May, it would be wise to remind yourself of the advice in Attack From Mars! (see above.) You're popular! You're enjoying friendships and schmoozing with others; you're also enjoying attending classes, groups, clubs and organizations. But you're really coming on strong! It's probably a good thing. Your increased confidence and poise really impresses people. Just don't bowl them over. (Especially if they whimper or try to protect their face as you approach.)
Salad Days of Summer
It's your birthday which means it's your turn to shine! The Sun rules your heart, and when the Sun is in your sign, you're filled with exuberant optimism. Fair Venus (ruler of beauty) is also in your sign making you appear attractive to others. You not only feel great, you like what you see in the mirror! That's why July is a great time to shop for wardrobe goodies. In fact, you're actually in the mood to spend money. (Let a few mothballs out of your wallet.)
Your focus on spending money extends into August. What gives? Apparently you do. You're shopping for beautiful things for yourself and loved ones. In part, this is because you're full of moneymaking ideas for how to boost your income as well.
Back to School
This month is so busy your hair is on fire. You're talking to everyone, especially relatives and siblings, running around doing errands, plus increased reading, writing and studying and you're taking trips. (Drive carefully. 90% of the people on the road were caused by accident.)
In particular, you're keen to renovate, redecorate or fix up your digs. Family gatherings are fun; and perhaps significant because it looks like a lot of talking is going on. You're also tackling home repairs. September is also a good month for forming partnerships and signing deals.
October is definitely a domestic time for you. Family conversations and meetings are significant. You continue with home repairs. Look for ways to repair family relationships as well because the fur could be flying! (Alice Roosevelt always said, "if you can't say anything nice about someone, then come sit by me.")
Freeze That Frame
No matter how cold November is, you're in the mood for fun! You want to party, flirt, play and slip away on a vacation. Playful activities with children, and an increased interest in anything to do with show business, the entertainment world or the hospitality industry is a sure thing. At least, go to a movie or a concert. Romance and love affairs are yummy! ("You tasty morsel.")
Because you value home and family so much, December is always a busy month for you. You're trying to do it all. The prospects of guests arriving at your home, and increased activity with family, makes you hustle. You're working hard to get everything done. In particular, you want to be super efficient. Involvement with small pets might take extra energy. Fortunately, relations with close friends and partners are cozy; and you have a warm feeling in your tummy. Gosh.
Your Mantra for 2008
Other people benefit me this year!
Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall
Change can be stressful. Some signs love change. ("The house burned down? Wow! I wonder where I'll live now?") You're not one of them. You hang on to things; you hang onto the past; you're comfortable with what is familiar. Therefore, the stress that accompanies possible job changes and residential moves is something you'll face this year or next. At least, one of these is almost inevitable.
Angst with relationships might be due to your own increased aggression, even if you're not aware of it. Yup, the Mars thang. (Of course, megalomania can be enjoyable. Especially with a fine wine.)
Cancer Luck for 2008
Being on the same wavelength with lucky, moneybags Jupiter is not a bad thing. And because Jupiter directly opposes your sign this year, you're definitely sharing the same elevator! Because of this, you'll have an excellent chance for success at a number of things. You'll sense this, which means you might try to go after everything you want! However, you can't have everything (if you did, where would you put it?)
This is the year to work with others to achieve what you want. Form working units. Elicit the cooperation of others. Needless to say, relationships are cozy, warm and joyful! All kinds of partnerships (both professional and intimate) are favoured. Singles can hook up with somebody slightly older, richer or more established. Your respect for this person is one of the things that attracts you. Basically, you'll benefit from close friendships (as well as from having someone to nudge in the night.)
2008 and a Sneak Preview Ahead...
This is definitely a period of transition. You're in a state of flux. This year and next, you're contemplating residential moves or job changes. This is pretty major because you're not one to move a lot unless it's necessary. For one thing, you've got a lot of stuff to move! And secondly, many of you garden and really get attached to where you live. Nevertheless, something's gotta give.
By 2010, and shortly thereafter, you'll be determined to settle down and establish something solid for yourself. If you like the move in the next few years, then you'll simply renovate or fix up where you are. If you don't like your move, then you'll move again. (Three moves are worth a fire.)
Once you've established your home base (this may take almost 5 years) then you'll focus on what you're doing with your life. You want to be doing something meaningful. You don't want to look in the mirror when you're 90 and say, "You blew it." That's why you'll work very hard in 2015-16, so that you can make your debut into the world around 2018. Yikes - let's not go any farther down the rabbit hole!
