The Year 2006

In 2006, Saturn is in Leo for the entire year for the first time since 1977. (Many will see a correlation.) This will give enduring form to creative expression! (The movie Star Wars, which opened in 1977 has become part of our culture's artistic icons.)

Saturn will encourage a concrete expression of theatre and the arts at both personal and civic levels. It will also encourage a stricter more traditional methodology in schools.

Jupiter's passage through Scorpio will alter how we deal with death. In the 50s, we built schools and playgrounds for the Baby Boomers. This year we will lay the groundwork to help them die with dignity and loving support. (Death will be a big business by 2013-14.)

In many ways, new opportunities will arise out of situations of loss. "May the Force be with you."

The Envelope Please...

You seek perfection. You want a great body, a fine mind, an organized environment and rewarding work. (Hey, you already have a fine mind, and the most discerning eye of us all!) You're the critic of the zodiac. Wherever you look, you immediately see 'what's wrong with this picture'. You're extremely observant. ("God is in the details.") Your Shady Past

In the mid 80s, there was a lot of flux and change. By 1987, you were determined to put down roots or get your home scene settled in some way. Within a few years, you were busting your buns, and by 1994-95, you got some recognition for your efforts. Things were looking good! From that point on your confidence increased. (Although that was a tough time for relationships.) Even though you had to get along with less in 1996-98, you forged ahead, and by 2001, you did yourself proud. Increased opportunities helped you achieve something dear to your heart. Further blessings came to you in 2004. (How sweet it is.) Many of you earned more money last year.

Which brings us to 2006

This year you have to let go of what is no longer relevant. Get rid of deadwood. Say goodbye to what you have outgrown. This isn't always easy. Go through closets, cupboards, lockers, garages and basements and give away, sell or turf what you no longer need or use. Be ruthless! You're happier when you feel organized and on top of your scene. Getting rid of meretricious crap makes you feel great. Streamline your world. What might be tougher is getting rid of relationships that are losing their appeal. What you're really doing (but you might not know this yet) is clearing the way for an entirely new future. It's like getting rid of an old sofa or fridge before you get the new one. Partnerships have been upsetting. But in the long run, you will feel liberated. You might have more solitude this year. Don't worry; this will help you determine what you really want to keep in your future.

Is the future like the present only longer?

One thing is certain: in 2007-08, your home life, your family life and everything to do with real estate and where you live will make you very, very happy. (Would I kid you?) You'll feel enriched! Life will be bountiful. Family relations will be joyful and loving. You'll buy gorgeous goodies for your home. Real estate investments will be profitable. In 2007-08, you'll begin a new process of growth and redefining who you are. The change in your life will be so dramatic it will force you to get a new wardrobe. ("Hey- the new me needs a sexy, new look!") Ah yes, you'll be doing the flamenco, which according to Lenny Bruce, was an art form where the dancer applauds his own ass. Dontcha love it?

In a galaxy far far away...

In 2008, love affairs and romance are so promising you can count on bruising your delicate skin on high thread count sheets -- oh, the pain of it all. (You gave up satin sheets because calloused heels make those scratchy little sounds.) Count on a fabulous vacation in 2008-09 as well. Perhaps a cruise where you can eat seven meals a day and nobody notices. Since 1987, and certainly 1994, you focused on getting what you thought you wanted. But after 2007, it's a whole new sandbox, with all new toys.

Be the best you can be

Two qualities are special Virgo traits. The first is your willingness to give service to others. This generosity is not only personally rewarding, it makes a humungous difference in the lives of others! And your example raises the bar for everyone around you. The second Virgo trait is even more important. You teach the value of aspiration. You seek perfection. You make lists hoping to improve yourself (stop smoking, stop coffee, quit eating beef, eat more fruit and vegetables, exercise more, meditate, the list goes on.) You strive for excellence. (You also know what to do with silk scarves and a four-poster bed.) Romance is where your excellent planning skills shine. Your bed has fresh sheets, the music is playing, drinks are served, the lighting is low (you went shopping for that black light) and après nibblies are at hand should they be required. You think of everything! Like your fellow Earth signs, you're lusty. Where you differ is in the realm of commitment. A loyal friend, nevertheless you suspect living with someone is more trouble than it's worth. You like your toys. You surf the Web. You love clever repartee --and eye candy.
