Georgia Nicols' Taurus Forecast for 2006
"We make a living by what we get; but we make a life by what we give."
Winston Churchill
(1874-1965)
The Year 2006
In 2006, Saturn is in Leo for the entire year for the first time since 1977. (Many will see a correlation.) This will give enduring form to creative expression! (The movie Star Wars, which opened in 1977 has become part of our culture's artistic icons.)
Saturn will encourage a concrete expression of theatre and the arts at both personal and civic levels. It will also encourage a stricter more traditional methodology in schools.
Jupiter's passage through Scorpio will alter how we deal with death. In the 50s, we built schools and playgrounds for the Baby Boomers. This year we will lay the groundwork to help them die with dignity and loving support. (Death will be a big business by 2013-14.)
In many ways, new opportunities will arise out of situations of loss. "May the Force be with you."
The Envelope Please...
Whenever I tell a Taurus, "You like good food, good wine, good sex and a nice place to live," you invariably reply, "Doesn't everybody?" Not so! You love your creature comforts! You appreciate fine things: antiques and old wood. You like good food (but you're not a snob.) You have your fav places for bread, meat, croissants and bagels. You're not a spendthrift: you're practical. When you buy something you want it to last. You read newspapers. You like history. You collect things. You enjoy music, fashion, gardening, farming and you love the beauty of nature. You're easy-going and rarely get angry because those few times when you do - it's devastation! You safeguard your security, which is assured because you're financially wise. You want land. You like to wrap yourself in cash.
Your Shady Past
You worked hard in the early 80s; and by 1984, you started to steer your own course. (This might have ended partnerships.) By 1991, graduation, success and accomplishment made you proud. In the mid 90s however, you suffered a loss. Not easy. The year 1999 was definitely a new beginning for you. By 2001, your financial scene started to improve; and in 2003-04, you felt better about home, family and real estate. Job changes and residential moves took place then along with renovations, decorating and rebuilding. You started to enjoy life more! Vacations, creative projects and the enjoyment of children were rewarding. (Tauruses are great parents.) Recently, your job improved. Great! Life is too short to be in a job you hate.
Which brings us to 2006
This year your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to solidify your home base. You need a solid anchor in the world. One thing that will promote this in the year ahead is enriched partnerships. Your relations with others will you benefit you throughout 2006. One-to-one encounters will illuminate new aspects of yourself. People will help you. This is a good year for any kind of professional assistance (legal, medical and practical.) You might meet someone whose background is different from yours. Intimate relationships will have a consciousness expanding effect. Those who marry will mate with someone older or more established. (You're laughing all the way to the bank.) The last time this happened was in 1994. In many ways, 2006 is a time of culmination. You will succeed at many things and somehow expand your life. However, do not limit your focus to material satisfaction. This year is a turning point in your internal world. If you keep staring at the door that closed, you'll miss the one that is opening.
Is the future like the present only longer?
Life is getting better! In 2007, you will inherit, or gain through the wealth of others. Your partner's wealth will benefit you. Hey - your sex life gets a happy boost too! (Pass the Astroglide.) This same year brings a welcome addition to family, a fabulous vacation, or both. You'll have increased responsibilities with children either working with them or caring for them. However, at the same time, your creative vibes will be hot! It's a good time to take a gamble. Neptune has been high in your chart since 1998, making you confused about long-term goals. You can't see the mountaintop. Trust your sensible nature and natural perseverance. These qualities serve you well.
In a galaxy far far away
About seven years from now, you'll step out onto the big stage. It will be liberating and yet scary. Your ambitions to reach for what you really want will grip you then. Partners will have to understand this. If they don't, some relationships will end. The successes you experience in 2009 will give you the confidence to make this leap. Travel, publishing and education will delight you then. 2012-13 will be empowering!
My Mantra for 2006
I am creating the home I want; and enjoying others in my life.
Be the best you can be
You're a collector. Because you see what is worth saving, the rest of us are indebted to you. You understand historical continuity and precious treasures, be they antiques, examples of another era, or part of a collection. Museums and galleries, plus charming family heirlooms exist because of you. You catalogue history as well. What you do leaves a legacy for those who come after you. Yet despite your poetic, musical soul, you understand the world has real bellies to feed. Through your example you teach others how to build a firm foundation in this world. You're sensible. You're a haven in the storm. You're the rock of stability in your family. Do not underestimate the quiet tower of strength you offer to the world. We need you.
Stuff Every Self-respecting Taurus Knows
You're Taurus the Bull, ruled by Venus. You're an Earth, Fixed sign. (The Fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. Fixed signs are determined, steadfast and self-reliant. They see things through to the end. They like tradition and boundaries. "What! No cranberry sauce with the turkey?") Your sign is Feminine, and it rules the Second House, which governs Money and Possessions. Astrologers disagree about colours and gemstones. But there is no doubt that Taurus rules the voice, throat, tongue and taste buds. You're a great kisser with a lovely speaking and singing voice! (Think: Streisand, Orbison, Ella, Willie, McGraw, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Bobby Darin, Joey Ramone and more!) Guard against sore throats, gland problems and excess weight. (A minute on the lips is a lifetime on the hips!)
Taurus in the Bedroom
You're earthy, lusty, and sensual. You love your creature comforts and one of them is great sex. (Frequent great sex!) That's because your sign rules the tactile senses. (Yuuuummy!) You know how to touch and be touched. Your suggestive whispers are mesmerizing. You purr when nuzzled in the neck. You're the easiest sign to live with, and you're fabulous in bed. Hey - what a batting average! You love the best in life. Music, candles, strawberries, chocolate, fine wine, cigars, tropical beaches, high thread count sheets and well oiled skin. You're both ardent and patient. You need lots of hugging. Money in the bank makes you even more huggable! (Go$h.)
