Georgia Nicols' Scorpio Forecast for 2006
"Great souls have wills; feeble ones have only wishes."
Chinese Proverb
The Year 2006
In 2006, Saturn is in Leo for the entire year for the first time since 1977. (Many will see a correlation.) This will give enduring form to creative expression! (The movie Star Wars, which opened in 1977 has become part of our culture's artistic icons.)
Saturn will encourage a concrete expression of theatre and the arts at both personal and civic levels. It will also encourage a stricter more traditional methodology in schools.
Jupiter's passage through Scorpio will alter how we deal with death. In the 50s, we built schools and playgrounds for the Baby Boomers. This year we will lay the groundwork to help them die with dignity and loving support. (Death will be a big business by 2013-14.)
In many ways, new opportunities will arise out of situations of loss. "May the Force be with you."
The Envelope Please...
What a trustworthy, powerful, indomitable sign you are! You're the real deal. You don't mince words. Nothing daunts you. You're fearless and brave; and of course, obsessive and compulsive -- but you get things done. "Move that mountain! Build that bridge!" You're forthright, powerful, assured, and extremely intelligent. (Actually, you're scary.) Who can live up to your standards? You're responsible and caring, and unselfish. You never forget anything. (Especially an enemy.) Your loyalty is unquestioned. Of course, you're secretive. (With good reason -- you know where the bodies are buried.) You fight, built, create and produce. You're clairvoyant. You take skilful charge when things are recycled, repaired or finished and ended. (Oh yeah) You are Mother Theresa; you are Marquis de Sade. (Neither of which was a Scorpio, by the way.)
Your Shady Past
Definitely, 1984 was a turning point. Residential moves and job changes kept you on the fly in 1989-91. After that, you started to put down roots. Increased responsibilities with children in '94-95 were sobering. By the late 90s, you felt overwhelmed with work and responsibilities. But the year 1999 was a turning point. Relationships either ended or began or both. Around the turn of the millennium, support from partners decreased, which made you explore new opportunities in 2003-04. Many went back to school or traveled more. By last year, you felt empowered. Special dreams came true! Some of you graduated, others saw the full scope of what was possible at work. (Some also clearly saw what was not possible.) Either way, you were in a position to act.
Which brings us to 2006
This is your hour. It is still a powerful time for your sign. It's time to show the world what you're made of. Everything is in place. This is not one of those years where you're at the train station waiting for your ship to come in. Au contraire! Moneybags Jupiter is in your sign this year for the first time in 12 years; and this blessing comes to you at a most propitious time. Act on your dreams! Demand the advantage. Go after what you want. You have the confidence, the inner strength and the luck to pull off whatever you seek. Much of success is timing. People and resources are drawn to you this year. It's a good time to enter partnerships; however, make sure others benefit from this association as much as you. 2006 is the year of the so-called "lucky break" for your sign. This is also an excellent year for learning and gaining new experience in something.
Is the future like the present only longer?
As if things weren't good enough for you, you're going to earn more money in 2007. Ha! And you're going to spend more and buy wonderful treasures as well. Naturally, this is all relative to your own sandbox; but you're definitely going to feel like a winner, and you're going to chalk up your rewards and buy yourself some toys. Increased opportunities to be involved with groups and partnerships will continue to occur. (Thank God the stress you felt in relationships during 2005 is long gone.) Whew!
In a galaxy far far away...
You have a lovely cycle to look forward to around 2009-10 that blesses real estate, home and family for your sign. You can't go wrong buying your own home or investing in real estate speculation at that time. Some of you will expand your family as well. This is a happy time for you. Vacations, romance, fun times with children, and pleasure through the arts will flourish. By 2012-13, you'll enter an entirely new world. To prepare for this you will have to say goodbye to people, places and possessions. The change might be so dramatic you'll need a different wardrobe. Woo woo.
My Mantra for 2006
When the time is right, I act. The time is right -- now.
Be the best you can be
Your sign makes such a difference in the world. Scorpio rules medicine, psychiatry and the field of death. You also rule garbage including old garbage (archaeology and anthropology.) Also under your domain are crime, police detection and locks, keys, secrets, and security. Without you, the world would descend into chaos. North America is one of four countries that had the Baby Boom. (An influx of population of childbearing age.) The baby boomers are starting to die. People will suffer grief and loss as their parents die and they in turn, face their own mortality. Who will be the stewards of this huge movement? Scorpio will be the guru, the shepherd to this process? You will. Scorpio will counsel, care for, advise, solve problems, and get rid of what we don't use anymore. You already run emergency wards, the military and our police. Soon you will step up to the plate for the biggest challenge ever. I salute you. So should we all.
Stuff Every Self-respecting Scorpio Knows
Your ruling planet is Pluto; and your symbol is the Scorpion. You are a Feminine Sign, and your element is Water. Scorpio is also a Fixed Sign (The Fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. Fixed signs are determined, steadfast and self-reliant. They see things through to the end. They like tradition and boundaries. "What? No cranberry sauce for the turkey?") Even though your sign rules jewelry, I am not mentioning gemstones because astrologers never agree on this. Scorpio rules the Generative Organs, and the Eighth House, which governs Sex, Death and Other People's Money. (Just the frills.) No wonder you wear black.
Scorpio in the Bedroom
Your sign rules the reproductive organs. It's no coincidence you're passionate and sexy. Actually, you're ardent and torrid! You demand a commitment; but you're willing to give it in return. You're extremely jealous. Nothing is halfway with you. All is hot, heavy passion. (You even frighten yourself.) You like sex so much it's a recreational past time. Sure you're waiting for the right person to come along, but you're not going to sit around getting dusty! Leo is Marilyn Monroe allure: platinum blond and white satin. You are black taffeta, net stockings and a red rose clenched in the teeth: a Spanish couple dancing the passé double. (Sigh) You're a volcano in bed. You're the sexiest sign in the zodiac. You invented provocative lingerie. Other signs fantasize about you.
