Georgia Nicols' Gemini Forecast for 2006

"The e-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail."

The Year 2006

In 2006, Saturn is in Leo for the entire year for the first time since 1977. (Many will see a correlation.) This will give enduring form to creative expression! (The movie Star Wars, which opened in 1977 has become part of our culture's artistic icons.)

Saturn will encourage a concrete expression of theatre and the arts at both personal and civic levels. It will also encourage a stricter more traditional methodology in schools.

Jupiter's passage through Scorpio will alter how we deal with death. In the 50s, we built schools and playgrounds for the Baby Boomers. This year we will lay the groundwork to help them die with dignity and loving support. (Death will be a big business by 2013-14.)

In many ways, new opportunities will arise out of situations of loss. "May the Force be with you."

The Envelope Please...

You're forever young. You're playful, quick-witted and puckish. You like games, puzzles, crosswords, maps, compasses, pens, globes, magnifying glasses, clocks, telescopes, and bright, shiny objects in brass (preferably Swiss.) You're curious about anything (for 5 minutes.) You adore novelty, gossip, and fascinating data. You can out talk, outthink and outmaneuver everyone. That's because your ruler Mercury has all the superlatives: it's the smallest, hottest, fastest and closest to the Sun. You're talented with your hands. You like languages. You multitask. You write, teach, sell, and promote. You're technically proficient. You snack on finger food. You scan magazines and buy books you hope to read. You'd take smart pills if you could. You want to know everything!

Your Shady Past

You worked hard in the mid 80s. Fortunately, by 1987-88, the world started to take you seriously. (But partnerships were rough.) In fact, in the late 80s, you experienced loss (or a partner quit work.) Fortunately, 1989 was a good year. Travel and educational opportunities came your way. By 1991-93, things were lookin' sweet! Your domestic scene improved, and by 1994 you were in the game. ("Count me in.") Nevertheless, as the millennium approached, yikes, once again you experienced losses and farewells. In fact, you gave up a lot before a whole new scene in 2001. Thankfully, things improved. (Everything is temporary, even tough times.) You were a high roller in 2002. You felt flush then. "Keep the change."

Which brings us to 2006

It's a good thing you like change. (You don't do boring.) There's a window between 2005 and 2008 where residential moves and job changes are practically inevitable. This period is a state of flux. Since 2001, not only have you been in a new sandbox, at a deeper level, you've been redefining who you are and how you relate to the world. Now the 'new you' is almost finished ("Stick a fork in me Lord, I'm done.") but not quite. You have to hone and refine the last touches: how you talk, think, communicate and even listen. That's why your daily milieu is changing. Capice? The changes around you shape your thinking and communicating style. Fortunately, your health and your employment scene are beautifully blessed. The support you need to swing these changes will be there for you.

Is the future like the present only longer?

Around 2007-08, you might move again. Oy! If you don't move, you'll renovate, repair and fix up where you live. That's because a few years from now, you're going to establish a firm anchor for yourself on this planet. You want a refuge. (With a library.) In addition to your determination to make this happen, partnerships will benefit you at that time, and this will also help you. Around 2008, you might receive an inheritance. You will certainly benefit from the wealth of others then. At this same time (2007-08) you'll have increased joy and happiness in your family. Your real estate will increase in value. You'll have a warm feeling in your tummy about home sweet home. Soon after, vacations, love affairs, romance and children bring delights. (It is to laugh.)

In a galaxy far far away...

About four years from now, your career gets a fabulous blessing. All kinds of opportunities will come to you then. But it will also be a time of hard work. You'll want to give everything your best shot, because around 2011-12, you're finally going to get recognition for your efforts. That will be the first time since 1999 that you surface back into the world in a big way. Seven years from now, lucky Jupiter returns to your sign. And things just get better after that. Salute!

My Mantra for 2006

I handle change with ease. Watch me!

Be the best you can be

You tend to look outside yourself for the right job, the right person, the right home, the right fame, money or accomplishment to bring you happiness. But it doesn't work that way. If it did - people with those things would be happy --and they're not. Furthermore, you fear commitment in case someone/something better comes along. And here's the kicker. You're right! Someone better will come along. Why? Because there's no end to better. There will always be taller, richer, happier, prettier, bigger, better, whatever. That's reality. Your salvation and greatest challenge is contentment. Start nursing delusions of adequacy. Appreciate who you are and what you have. Then, when you value who you are and what you have - go teach the rest of us how to do it. You have the ability to stimulate the mental growth of others. Curiosity is contagious! The rest of the world relies on you to get the information out. (Oh wise one.)

Stuff Every Self-respecting Gemini Knows

You're an Air sign ruled by Mercury and your symbol is the Twins. Your sign is Feminine and Mutable. (The Mutable signs are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. They blend. They fit in. They style flex and morph to whatever's going on. They're versatile and adaptable. "Are we packing tropical?") Gemini rules the Hands, Arms, Lungs and the Nervous System; and of course the Third House of Writing, Communicating, Siblings and Everyday Events. (I won't mention gemstones and colours because they're disputed.) Suffice to remember that Mercury rules Communications, Ground Transportation and Everyday Tasks. The twin aspect makes you like two of things -- houses, cars, even lovers. Guard against arthritis, eczema, chest infections and asthma.

Gemini in the Bedroom

You like lip activity without calorie content. (You kiss for hours!) But let's not forget Gemini rules the hands. (All 10 digits.) Nevertheless, what you seek first is a meeting of the minds. You want someone bright and clever enough to appreciate how bright and clever you are. Words are everything: love notes, cards, e-mails, lipstick on the bathroom mirror, puns, risqué jokes and after sex musings. Your partner must be entertaining. (Broad minded too, because you're kinky: two is company, three is an orgy.) You're flirtatious and expressive. You need an intelligent, easy-going companion who appreciates you. You think of yourself as loyal (but you like your peanut gallery.) After all, variety is the spice of life --and yes, the Marquis de Sade was a naughty Gemini.
