Georgia Nicols' Virgo Forecast for 2004
"He who laughs, lasts."
Mary Pettibone Poole
(c. 1938)
In 2003, Mars came closer to planet Earth than it's been for 60,000 years and then teamed up with explosive Uranus. This combo created explosions no one expected. (Uranus rules electricity, technology and all things unpredictable; while Mars rules fire and aggression.)
The good news is that this wild tension is over. 2004 will definitely be calmer. That's a relief for those of us who have an irresistible urge to go on living...
Happy New Year to you all!
Georgia

Virgo 2004 Forecast
You're a curious combination of realism and a desire for perfection. And the realist in you knows this. But the perfectionist in you knows that for every action there is an equal and opposite criticism.
Your realistic side blesses you with an analytical, methodical, efficient approach to everything. You have the eye of a critic. You notice details, and admire a job well done. After all, you're the sign of service and often do things others won't do because you know they have to be done. (Which is why the world is a better place because of you.)
The perfectionist in you wants everything to be tickety boo - this includes the human body. You're interested in health and hygiene. You pop vitamin pills, drink wheat grass juice and do cleansing fasts. The next week you're enjoying nachos and beer. (We all have our contradictions.)
You're an intelligent sign! You have more detachment than most when you consider the facts of any matter. You're an excellent judge of things. People respect you and value your opinion. They seek out your advice. And you're amazed they listen to you!
Nevertheless, site is a faculty: seeing is an art.
The Past and Present
There was lots of change, flux and movement in the mid-80s for you. By the late 80s, you were trying to put down roots somewhere. You wanted to buy land, a condo, a house, a tepee -- anything. After that you went through angst seeking the right job or career.
By the early 90s, you are busting your buns. Fortunately, your effort led to some recognition and acknowledgment of your work by 1994-95. That's when you began to take yourself more seriously. Unfortunately, that's also when some relationships bit the dust.
From 1996-98, support from others was withdrawn to some degree. Partners left or lost jobs. But by 1999, you were back in the saddle going after what you wanted.
Since then you've been surprisingly empowered. Some of the things that you wanted very much for yourself have now come true. (It's a curious human foible, but we often never realize when our dreams come to fruition because we are already leaping into the future wanting more.)
The Year 2004
This is an extremely fortunate year for you! Jupiter is 1300 times the size of Earth, and as such, it represents wealth, expansion, good fortune, increased optimism and learning. It takes 12 years to go through all the signs. For most of 2004, Jupiter will be in Virgo. Glory hallelujah!
This is a fabulous boon for your sign. It attracts opportunities and influential people to you. This year will definitely be a time of learning new things and gaining new experiences. You'll feel more confident, more secure and more pleased with yourself. Your talents will shine!
Others are beginning to discover your worth -- and you're starting to believe it too. You agree with Peanuts: "Life is like a 10 speed bicycle -- most of us have gears we never use." That's why you'll attempt things this year you would normally never do. You believe in yourself now! This makes all the difference in the world.
"Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt." (Shakespeare)
More about your future
In the bigger picture, while all these goodies and opportunities come your way, and you start feeling so much better about yourself, it occurs to you that your real question is deciding what to do with the rest of the time left to you in your life. How do you make it count the most? (One wants to wring every ounce of joy and benefit from it, right?) You want to do more than just keep a roof over your head, put vitamins on the table and pay for a weekly massage. (You wish.)
The question you're asking yourself now is how you can be part of something bigger than yourself. It's not so much the personal recognition; it's that you need a feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment from what you do. (That's because Neptune is slowly moving through your hometown hyping your idealism connected with your work.)
Another sweet bonus is that for the first time in your life, you're truly getting a realistic appreciation of what you do. Instead of focusing on those elusive "dreams" that didn't materialize, you appreciate what actually has come together for you. This is wise. (You do wise very well.)
Relationships and Romance
Your closest relationships and partnership suffered in 2003. All that time when Mars and Uranus were stuck in one position, it generated a mild (and sometimes not so mild) hostility between you and those closest to you.
Naturally, you're critical of the shortcomings and insensitivities of close friends, bosses and partners. You felt unappreciated and misunderstood. On top of that, you were picking up heavy metal radio in the fillings in your teeth. (I hate it when that happens.)
The good news is all that stress and tension is gone. Suddenly, that insensitive partner looks sweet once again. Gosh. Maybe you should rethink things. Your love life and all your relationships will improve this year because (a) a stressful influence is now removed and (b) a pleasant, beneficial influence has replaced it! (Is this good or is this good?)
The year ahead is beautifully fortunate for you in all your dealings with others. Your self-confidence and poise are heightened in every way.
Coping with Challenges in 2004
Lucky Jupiter in your sign right now practically gives you divine protection. But anybody who plays videogames knows that divine protection doesn't last forever.
The planet Uranus has just moved directly opposite your sign. Uranus rules earthquakes, volcanoes, dynamite, explosions, unpredictable events and surprises. There's more (you can pick yourself off the floor.) It also rules improvements, rebellion from tyranny, feeling the need for revolution and striking a blow for freedom!
Uranus is the Three Musketeers. "One for all and all for one!" This could bring a hasty exit to a relationship that is oppressive and because it you refuse to be dictated to anymore.
Uranus wants to liberate you from anything that holds you back. Although it is an unpredictable influence -- it is an influence to be welcomed.
Your Mantra for 2004
It's my turn to be happy.
