Georgia Nicols' Aries Forecast for 2004
"Be happy with what you have while working for what you want."
H. Jackson Brown Jr.
(1940 -- )
In 2003, Mars came closer to planet Earth than it's been for 60,000 years and then teamed up with explosive Uranus. This combo created explosions no one expected. (Uranus rules electricity, technology and all things unpredictable; while Mars rules fire and aggression.)
The good news is that this wild tension is over. 2004 will definitely be calmer. That's a relief for those of us who have an irresistible urge to go on living...
Happy New Year to you all!
Georgia

Aries 2004 Forecast
The Real You
Your essence is Spring -- new, fresh, bursting with life, eager to grow! (It's the bud thang.) No matter how old you get, you'll always be young at heart. What you want most in life is dashing, bold adventure. You don't want a life full of porridge -- you want exciting escapades, daring exploits, sports cars and drop-dead sunglasses.
You'll try anything once, just for the sheer thrill of discovery. You're brave (almost foolhardy.) Challenges entice you because you're deeply competitive. You'll attack something tricky to see if you can master it or win. You need to pierce the mystique of whatever you don't understand. But once you figure it out -- Hasta la vista baby! You hit the road to discover new conquests, new battles, and new victories.
You're fascinating to talk to. (I never met a boring Aries.) You can do anything with your hands. You're the finest artisan in the zodiac. And on top of this, you're kind and generous.
Your dazzling confidence makes you a natural leader but you don't care if anyone follows you. Your friends love you because you're steadfast, loyal, brave and courageous. (Plus you know a lot of good jokes and can cook.)
The Past and Present
You stepped onto the world stage around 1980-81. In a way, it was your debut. Relationships were dropping like flies but you were moving on up.
In the mid-80s, when support from others ground to a halt, you proved you could get along with less. Once again, onward and upward. By 1989-90, you were flying your colours! (That's when people showed respect.)
By 1994, you began losing friends, lovers, jobs and lots of other stuff. (It happens.) However, since 1996, it's been a whole new scene where you have steadily, consciously been reinventing yourself. Now you're an entirely new person! (Look in the mirror. Do you even recognize that puss?) You're all growed-up now.
And while it's true that you're not sure what you're going to do, you sure know what you're going to avoid. (Oh yeah.)
The Year 2004
You're at a major turning point in your life. You have finally finished the journey you started in 1994. Last year and this year make up a two-year window where you have to solidify your home base. It's all part of the grand plan.
First you had to reinvent yourself (which you did.) Now that you know who you are, you've got to establish a good base of support. That's why ideally, this is the time to build or buy real estate or secure your home base in some way. While all this is going on in your outer, physical realm, you're also nailing down important issues and values within your family structure.
Major changes in your family dynamic bring revelations about yourself and your family relationships. In fact, you're learning a lot about your family. Most of this is beyond your control however, because after all, relatives are accidents of birth. (Some of them are happy accidents -- and some are not. Watchyagonnado?)
More about your future
One thing is certain: your job will improve this year! In fact, it's already starting. If your current job doesn't improve -- change jobs. Everything to with your employment scene is blessed for the year ahead! Count on promotions, raises, and a better attitude from everyone. If this is not forthcoming, blow that pop stand. After all, you can't fall off the floor.
More good news: your health will improve, although weight gains are possible. (Yes, you'll have to let out another pleat in your shower curtain.)
Basically, you're getting more serious about life. Last year you wanted to do improve your digs (and you did) but you were partying a lot and sidetracked with romance and increased responsibilities with young people. Those little red herrings are gone now. Job opportunities have replaced them. How can you go wrong? Just believe it can happen. Demand the advantage and expect the best.
Relationships and Romance
This is a tough call. There is no question that last year and the first part of this year beautifully favoured romance, vacations, parties, good times and everything that is decadent and bad for your health. (But fun!)
However, your party scene is shifting. You're getting more serious about work. And you're getting more serious about your family scene and settling down as well. This means some of you will give up serial monogamy.
This desire for commitment means you won't waste your time. Sure you're interested. (You're a highly sexed sign and you're always interested. Your diary -- if you had time to write one -- would be juicy and censored.) Nevertheless, if lovers jerk you around, you've got other fish to fry.
Coping with Challenges in 2004
This year favours your health, and stress will not be a major factor. Nevertheless, stress-free days are rare for anyone. Mars is your ruler and Mars rules the blood and the muscles. Furthermore, Mars rules aggression and how you choose to express yourself. You can be quick to anger and to fight. Therefore, anger and strong opinions are both your strength and your stress-causing weakness.
Consider this: the only function of anger is to make everyone miserable. It serves no purpose. When you're angry, your mind is clouded with emotions. You can't think clearly. Therefore, it has no positive use. It's just a knee-jerk reaction that gets you into trouble. The antidote to anger is patience. It isn't a cure --it's a temporary Band-Aid, but it works. The cure for anger rests with your basic state of mind. It's interesting to note that anger does not arise in a happy state of mind. So if you get angry easily -- you're unhappy at some level.
You might feel discouraged and have lower vitality at times this year. VIPs and bosses might be tough to deal with. That's because this is a period of trial, especially for things you started about seven years ago. Don't try to save what isn't worth saving.
Be patient. Don't struggle. Remember that a retreat can be turned into an advance simply by changing your goals. (Of course, the best retreats come with body wraps and 2 hour massages.)
